Academy Casitas

Deposit of $700.00 Cash was given to this business in order to hold a casita that I had yet to see in person because there was a tenant in the unit. I was told that if I was not approved, the only amount non-refundable was the $40.00 application fee. Upon viewing the unit (after cash deposit was given), the unit smelled strongly of cat urine and was much smaller than advertised. At this time, I advised the manager, Tamara, that this unit was not going to meet my needs and I needed my deposit back. Tamara states that none of my money was refundable. I have attempted to contact her on multiple occasions and have received nothing but rude responses.

I do have a receipt for the cash deposit and multiple texts and emails from the manager, Tamara. Also, the unit has already been re-rented. I feel that I have been treated unfairly.
