Academy Arborist

Our community in HIghlands Ranch needs to select tree species that will tolerate poor, water retentive clay soil. Review of CSU Fact Sheet very helpful, but not tailored specifically to our needs and we needed input with someone in the business locally. Got a hold of Paul at Academy Arborist and he spent a good deal of time with me on the phone and was able to narrow down what trees would likely tolerate the conditions I described if they were planted correctly -- using amended soil and digging a large enough hole (not deep but wide). He also explained that younger trees do better with transplanting. This was an extremely positive interaction and I would rate Academy as high as possible. Very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. 5 stars.
