[redacted] and Absolute Home Solutions is a NIGHTMARE. I had to have him removed from my home by police and then had to file a police report for him stealing money I gave him for materials. Please do a free search on Washington Courts website to see who you are dealing with.
It started with him being very hard to communicate with. He was supposed to start the job in November and then he had to move it back to December. He informed me of the delay after I had done the demolition and my home was essentially unliveable.
He told me he had a"crew" to do the work. As I soon found out, his crew consists of he and his wife.
He was late from day one and this continued throughout the project. He never worked a full day. Despite numerous phone calls and emails trying to get him to make progress on the project, he didn't.
While not a contractor, I could tell the work was subpar. He had identified load bearing walls at the start of the project. He then removed two walls and became concerned that he didn't know what was or wasn't load bearing. He drilled HOLES IN THE CEILING to try and figure out what was or wasn't load bearing after he removed the walls. The dry wall work he did was sloppy and amateurish. The plumbing and electrical was just as bad. He took no effort to cover furniture. He used the new floor tiling as anchors for plastic sheeting breaking numerous pieces. It just goes on and on.
He was removed from the project by the Richland Police. When I demanded my money back he had nonsensical reasons why he didn't have it. He was advanced 6000 for materials and probably bought 600 worth of material. He refuses to return any money.
All the above happened while my home is unliveable and I am living in a hotel.
Since he was removed by police, I have had several contractors in to bid the project. They have all been horrified by his "work." They will have to rip out all of his"work." City inspectors are coming next week to document the work was not done to code.
After trying to work with these scam artists to get my money back I have been met with either silence or refusals to pay back my money. I will be filing a lawsuit against his bond and insurance Monday. I will be contacting labor and industries to try to get his license pulled and a theft investigation started.
