I am a first time home buyer, and [redacted] was the home inspector our realty agent recommended. Upon meeting him he handed me his contract, and as I was reading it, I had some questions for him. He did not like that I was asking him questions and stated "I'm not doing the inspection, because no matter what I do, you will find something wrong." Then he requested I move my vehicle so that he could leave, and I told him I would momentarily. I called my agent to speak to her about what was happening and he threatened to back over my car with his truck if I did not move it. I told him "Do not threaten me." He then approached me very aggressively and replied "I'll do what I want."
I already have a money order filled out to him and now I have to attempt to get a refund for that money as well as find another inspector and take more time off work, because of his attitude. This is my first time going through this process and he became very hostile because I was concerned about the inspection. He told me that he would not enter the attic because a dryer was in the way, that he would not check all outlets and light fixtures, and that if something was obscuring plumbing, that he was not obligated to check that either. He knows the home buyer is liable for anything that is not found in the inspection and did not have any interest in helping to make sure we uncover all potential problems before I make the biggest investment of my life.
He walked off the job, threatened me, and wasted the time of myself as well as the current home owner, all because I asked a few questions.","neg-1
