We have contacted Ms ***...the "damage" originated from shingles that were not secured properly by the company that
installed the current roofOnce I was made aware of the complaint by Ms *** I questioned my workers who informed me about the condition of the shingles and that one or two had slid off when they stepped on the roofIf I had known about this when we were at the home I would have informed her of the problem thenI explained what had happened, offered to pay for repairs to the area that my workers had dislodged the shinglesI refunded the original cost of the work we did since the customer was not satisfiedI have not heard from Ms *** about acceptance of the offer to pay for repairsAn apology was sent, not really sure what else can be done on my endWe would not be in business for the number of years that we have been if we did not treat our customers honestly

I truly appreciate ABM's willingness to cover the cost of the damageThe repairs have been made, and the roofing company assured me the roof was properly installed and the shingles nailed in place, contrary to ABM's claimsAs stated in my complaint, they have been on my roof on two previous occasions without any issuesABM's previous work has been outstanding; in fact, I actually recommended this company to othersFor these reasons, I was very disappointed in finding yard debris from the gutters left on the ground for me to clean up, along with wrappers and trash thrown in the yard, my trash can pushed away from the curb where I left it meaning the garbage wasn't collected that week, not to mention I wasn't made aware of this roof damage from the startFurthermore, MrE*** told me his company left the damaged shingles, but both myself and the roofer looked and we couldn't find those on or around my house
Had ABM taken a proactive approach and informed me of this issue, we would be in a much different situationInstead, I came home to immediately see the missing shingles when I pulled in my drive, and only after numerous back and forth emails was told what had happenedAs a result of this situation, I had to miss time from work getting an estimate and meeting with the roofers for the actual repair
Regarding next steps, I paid the roofer in full for the repair ($200), and am sending a copy of the invoice to ABM for restitution to myselfI am also returning their check for services rendered
