As per my lawyer, the board provided no substantiated reason for the application denial Also, he has informed me that the board is not an independent business and I am following the proper channels to escalate my complaintAgain, without a substantiated reason for a denial, the only other reason could be discrimination, which neither the board or ABM is exempt from I made the check payable to ABM, so I will continue accordingly to recoop my expenses for this mismanaged transaction

for said Cooperative CorporationABM, merely an agent, has no power whatsoever over the decision of the *** ** ***The application for this clearly states that all fees are non-refundableAll decisions are made by the *** ** *** ***'s attorney and real estate agent should have made sure that he understood the risks involved. *** *** *** ***

Review: I completed an application to purchase shares for a coop in Village in the Woods, under ABM Management. Despite providing all required information, and setting tentative interviews with the board to complete the transaction, the board denied my application for purchase, stating that the reason was insufficient funds. Included in my application were copies of bank statements and mutual funds that showed over 3 times the purchasing price of the unit. Despite multiple requests from myself and my attorney, they refused to provide any clarification or explanation as to why they the application was denied. Due to the negligence and wrongful denial of my application, I have lost money in legal fees to my attorney, title searches on the property, and application fees to ABM company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $150 application fee, $500 reimbursement for my attorney fees, and $1200 reimbursement for the title search. There is unfortunately no value I can place on the 2 months of missed real estate opportunities, time spent trying to communicate with the management company, or time lost on moving preparation.
