Aberdeen Apartments

Received a bill for unreasonable charges after moving from our apartment on ***. Please see details below.
Took over a sublease of apartment *** on *** and there was no carpet cleaning or detailed cleaning done prior to taking over lease. Had multiple service problems relating to water coming in and carpets being soaked throughout the apartment from rain and foundation issues. Had 3 separate service requests to clean mold from walls along the whole front side of our apartment. All that was done was spraying the walls with some spray (not sure what was used) and painting over the moldy wall. Carpets were never professionally cleaned by the apartment manager after and mold grew in the pad. Moved out *** and received a bill for $*** for new carpet, walls to be cleaned and other items that I do not agree should be our problem. I had a $*** pet deposit that was not applied to this total either. I will not pay and they have sent me to collections. My infant daughter was sick constantly from the mold and has not been sick one single time since we have moved from this apartment. Management changed 3 times in the time we lived here and we were told we would not be responsible for the carpet or walls.
