On 8/16/17 I received invoice# XXXXXX for the amount of 1,954.60 for repair. I drove the vehicle for two days and the same problem occurred. order #XXXXXX. On 8/16/2017 I *** paid the amount of 1,954.60 for transmission repair at store #***. Mr. *** assured me that a diagnostic test was performed and the problem was the transmission. I drove vehicle for two days and the same problem occurred. I returned to the store and informed Mr. of the problem he stated that I would have to pay him an additional five hundred dollars for a sensor to include a five hundred dollar labor charge to fix the same initial problem. I am a social security and disable senior citizen on a limited income, and feel that this type service is not fair in that Mr. informed that I could take the chance in driving the vehicle back to the facility in that I may burn up the transmission and that I would have to have towed at my expense, again my expenses are limited, so I am relying on your assistance in honoring the enclosed limited warranty terms and conditions. The breakdown was reported to the store manager and the vehicle is located at my home. Again I request your immediate attention in this case because I have doctors appointments and other personal matters that needs attention whereas a dependable transportation is required. My vehicle identification # *** 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Blue 2.4L engine.
Other (requires explanation) I am seeking the resolution in the independent owner picking up and properly repairing my vehicle at no additional cost to me. He led me to believe that the test he perform and the work performed with two different labor charges was correct in the time frame in which he had my vehicle in his possession.
We are Contacting in regards to Mr. *** and the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser that he previously brought into Our facility for transmission repair. The transmission repair was initially quoted $1,895.00 plus the tax, with the tax the total amount Came to S1954.60. This repair came with Our Standard 18 Month/18,000 Mile Nationwide Limited Warranty. The Customer picked up his vehicle on 8/16/2017 and brought it back 2 days later Stating he was still experiencing the same problem before the repairs were made; one of Our Certified technicians proceeded to run another diagnostic and we came to the decision that the vehicle needed to stay on the premises to fix the problem and Mr. decided that he'd rather take the Car back home and park it in his yard, and that was the last time We heard any word from him pertaining to this occurring issue.
On September 21, 2017,
The center manager contacted Mr. and reminded him that he should bring the car back in to resolve this issue at no costt to him and he stated that he would have his vehicle towed to Our premises at his earliest Convenience.
Thank you.
I will have the car towed to them on Monday morning.
