AAA Garage Door was dispatched by my warranty company, Total Protect/Cross Country via Sears. They charged me double my deductible and still have not fixed the problem. The tenant has been without a working garage door opener for 3 months. I first reported this intermittent problem in September. The "technician" came out and did nothing but collect $125 from me. The problem recurred before the ink was dry on the check, so a complaint was made to the warranty company within the 30 days. AAA told the warranty company they had replaced a part, which they did not, and told me that this was a different problem. Since the symptoms were exactly the same, it definitely was not a new problem, but I paid the second deductible to AAA in protest because they promised a brand new garage door opener would be installed. It has now been 3 months and after spending $250 plus $60 a month for the warranty, my tenant still has no use of her garage.
Crazy lady thinks she shouldn’t pay one deductible at all for services rendered on first visit and second visit for an entirely different issue

I am rejecting this response because:
Crazy lady? Seriously? This guy made us wait so long for the replacement due to his diagnosis of a bad motor that the warranty company finally sent out another guy who resolved this recurring problem with a five dollar part. Apparently, the capacitor was corroded and when the door opener would heat up due to several open/close attempts in succession, it would short temporarily and just hum. We had this problem when he first came out and that is the only problem we had when he came the second time and when the new guy came on the third analysis. He did not charge us any deductible because it was the same problem and in fact, the warranty company will be refunding me the money they paid this dishonest and/or incompetent garage door company. He is lucky I do not sue him as my husband is an attorney, but trust me, he will have to answer to some licensing and warranty inquiries, you can bet your last crooked dollar on that!
