I paid 300 to post a bail, I was assured I'd be approved even though the defendant has an outstanding balance. AAA denied bond and refused a refund
I inquired at AAA foe the bond amount for a defendant. I was told the amount was 900$ I specifically told the agent I was no longer interested due to the amount. The agent then told me I coould do a payment plan, I asked her how much the downpayment would need to be she assured me AAA would work with what I have. I told her I would let the defendant know and call back. She then stated if we could put down $400 or 300$ that would be enough to post the bail. I again told the agent I would inform the defendant and call back at a later date. She then stated she woul dnotate the account. AAA atlas bail bonds preceded to call me 4 times a day and once at 11:41 pm to solicit my buisness I did not answer these callas as I was waiting to see what the defendant wanted to pay or if theyd even be interested in a payment plan.
About 5 or 6 days later I called AAA Atlas bail bonds back to inform them I was intereted in posting the bail with the payment plan option. I specifically asked the agent if an outstanding balance would affect whether or not I would be approved. She assured me it would not. I then asked her if I were denied would I be able to get a refund. She then stated they only issue refunds if a bond is not posted and the defendant does not get released. I again asked even if there is an outstanding balance? She then repeated for the second time "we only issue refunds if the defendant is not released and the bond is not posted." I then agreed. Once the payment was processed the agent then said she would give me a call back. I waited 2 hours then called AAA bail bonds back to see what the status was she then asked if I could either put more money down or have a cosigner I told her no and I initially told you 300$ was all I could afford at the moment. She then stated "Ok its fine let me speak with the insurance company again and I will return you call." I then waited two hours again then called AAA atlas bail bonds I was then told the insurance company did not accept the $300 bond amount I paid. I then stated that is fine I can try with other company and asked for a refund. Iwas then told the company does not issue refunds if there is an outstanding balance whether the defendant gets released or not. I then informed the agent I specifically asked if the defendant's outstanding balance would affect the current bond I was wanted to post and was reassured twice that it would not. She then stated they dont issue refunds. I asked how could I be denied a refund and I was not provided a service. She then stated im sorry as I just said we don't issue refunds. I asked to speak with a manager she stated "they will tell you exactly what I'm telling you." I said that may be the case however I would like to speak to a manager, the agent then laughed and stated ok I'll let them know and I never recieved a call back from the company.
I would like a refund due to the fact that I was not provided with a service. I was reassured twice that a refund would be given if the defendant was not released or the bail was not posted. I feel as though they were intentionally trying to deceive me into making a payment knowing that the current bond I was trying to post would be denied and they would be able to receive some sort of payment from me. They called me over 4 times in a day on a daily basis to seem as though they would be willing to work with me however they knew theat once they processed the card payment they were not intending on providing me with any services. I am a single mother or a newborn and that 300$ was the LAST amount of money in my account, the only reason why I spent it with Atlas bail bonds was to get the father of my child out so he could assist me with bills and generate an income during the current nationwide quarentine from COVID-19 due to him being an essential employee. AAA Atlas bail bonds preyed on me as a customer knowing the system they have in place by making the customer pay for the service prior to getting approved then denying refunds was a way for them to generate income during this time!

"Defendant has been a long time client. We have run balances on him from the beginning and is not a requirement to be paid in full to post any bond with AAA Atlas Bail Bonds.
The underwriting decision was timely communicated to the client that we needed additional cosigners to cosign along with her.
From a risk stand point, defendant is now considered a flight risk since he has now 3 felony charges of DWI 3rd or more, all of them within the last 2 months. He kept going back to jail and every time we bailed him out, either with pending balance or not, we provided the service.
Company decided to mitigate the risk by adding more cosigners on the bonds due to the felony charge of DWI 3rd or more carries a punishment in the state of Texas of 2-10 years in prison and a fine not to exceeded $10,ooo dollars.
Client refused to provide any more cosigners, bonds cannot be posted if we don't satisfy this requirement. The $300 that she paid was applied to her previous balance from the beginning and she was completely aware of it since this is our policy and since she has been the cosigner on his previous bonds, making her liable for the $2,250 that are still pending. She agreed to that and signed our receipts.
AAA Atlas acted in good faith since we have always run balances on him without any problems, the client refused to provide the additional cosigners that are family members as requested and at this point our services cannot be provided due to the high risk."

Rip me off extra hidden charges and lazy staff took them 4 hours to get a runner to take a bond
across the street to the county if I wouldn't have contacted Dallas and check on my sons bond he would've have sat another day in jail and I would've waited the whole night on him to be released. I ask for my money back so I can do the job myself county doesn't charge to post bond and posted bond immediately a $100 bond became 150.00 so they can sit on it soo unprofessional and don't care for your loved ones
