Mr [redacted] called us in September to complete a property transfer inspection on his property for a home saleHe confirmed his appointment over the phone with me personally The inspection was completed on 9/9/and filed with the county on 9/12/ In order to inspect his system, we had to dig to locate all of his system componentsWe are required to inspect all components when doing a property transfer inspectionWe needed a trackhoe to dig up his distribution box as there was no other way to access it Mr [redacted] approved all of this work until his system showed deficienciesThis is the first time he made any complaints He paid his bill in full and we do not intend to refund him
We were called out to the site to address a septic problemBasement plumbing was backed up with sewageWater levels in septic tank were high because of a failing drainfieldAs the owner did not have much funds to work with we were asked to try to correct the drainfield failureAfter excavating, with a trackhoe, in the back yard we were able to locate some unused drainfield to connect intoBy installing new pipe, from the septic tank, to the unused drainfield ,we were able to solve the septic issuesWe spent most of the day on this project The owner has consistently confused the storm problem with the septic problemThey are two separate issuesAs I stated earlier he may have basement drainage problems due to the construction activity in the right of wayThey may have disrupted the main drain pipe from the house at the time of the road workHe needs to look elsewhere for flooding problemsEither installing new footing drains around the perimeter of the house or replacing the main drain to the streetOr maybe bothEstimated cost for both would be 8-10,
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I didn't have a septic tank problem when I contacted his company, I just wanted to have the septic tank emptyHe said that by doing the additional work the basement flooding problem would be resolved, otherwise I would not have spent additional money for this issue that could have been resolved by another company, he inspected the basement area and he determined he could resolve the problemhe never mentioned the fact that it could be any additional cost I want a refund becasue i'm currently working with a Licensee contractor to repair what he did not repaired Sincerely, [redacted] ***

This repair would have cost much more to fix 5-10,We were not authorized nor did we do anything about this separate problemMr [redacted] is fixated on finding someone else responsible for this problem and seemingly does not accept responsibility himself As stated before I would be willing to write a letter to the city of ***, indicating my opinion that there is a potential problem with the work they did, possibly causing Mr [redacted] basement flooding issuesI will not do so, however, until I am paid for the septic repair work that was done previously(643.11)
