I have a contract signed with *** to do contractor work on a house I purchased to renovate. Here is a very quick summary of the issues I had:
1) *** is not a license contractor, which I learned after all the headaches. He was not qualified to perform the type of job he quoted.
2) Item 1 not being enough, he walked away with $30,200 out of the total amount of $46,800. That is 65% of the total amount, and in reality he must have poorly accomplished approximately 30% of the total work quoted.
3) I offered *** a $5000 refund to void the contract, and he refused.
This is by far the biggest rip-off I have ever personally experienced both financially and in terms of the quality of the work and the lack of professionalism of *** and his crew.
I have abundant documentation and witnesses to prove my statements above. This description is merely a glance at the damage *** left behind in my life and in this project. Ultimately I lost close to $100,000 in this project, mostly due to *** and his crew. The only reason I waited so long to file this claim is because the house in question just sold on March 25, 2020; and I didn't want *** to retaliate.
