Review: He came to my home and took parts and did not ever come back or return my repeated calls for the repair promised. He still will not return calls.

He came to my home in February 2013 and took parts and called back to say he had the required parts to repair my downdraft unit. Then he never returned my calls to this day. October 4, 2013. I had to call another appliance repair person who said he'd heard of this person doing this to others, as well. I need My parts back form this first so called repair person.Desired Settlement: I want my original parts back and need to know what parts he obtained for my repair of my unit.

Review: I paid $473.87 for repairs on my washer and dryer at my place of business, and they are still not working. Will not return phone calls.

On 8/6/13 I had A. Starling Appliance repair come out to my business because I have a dryer that's not drying, and a washer that wasn't spinning. He came out about 4 hours late, and started to work on the washer and dryer. He charged me $211.78 for a wash lid switch, I don't know what he did with my old parts. I'm not really sure he replaced them. Then he charged me $262.09 for thermal heating coils?? I didn't see those old parts either. We went to use the washer and dryer the next day, and they were both working exactly the same as before he came out. I called right away (8/11/13) and left a message, but got no response. I then tried calling on Wednesday 8/14/13 and his mailbox is full. I left a message at another number, and also tried calling him this morning, but again, his mailbox is full. I wish I would have read the reviews about this company as they are all bad. I feel like I have been totally ripped off, and he shouldn't be in business. I also would like to know what he did with the parts that he supposedly replaced. Desired Settlement: I don't want him to come back to my place, I would like a refund for the $473.87 that I paid for work I don't believe was done. Maybe a call back explaining why he thinks my washer and dryer are not working properly as well. I can't trust this company, or this guy at all.

Review: On 05/05/13 a the repairman [redacted]. came to our home for repair valve that was defective. There was a time lapse because my husband had to return to our home in Arizona. Upon our return to CA, [redacted] was called to replace valve. After his visit, it still had problems after replacement of valve. He said it needed a simmer control, etc. He ordered the parts, returned and had additional problems. He left again and returned again and again. He finally got it almost right. We paid $443.00 About a week later we had trouble again. WE called a different company and the technician came in about 10 min. reported that A. Starling had not used the correct parts. The simmer control box (Protentiometer) comes with control knobs that need to be installed at the same time as the control box.

We have called him multiple times and left numerous messages to see if we could retrieve these knobs which we paid for at the last visit. The new company said the knobs and control box are sold as a kit, as each is essential for proper operation.

The new company returned with all correct parts. The tech was here for less than one hour. We had to pay him $598.69. The system is working correctly.Desired Settlement: Since they did replace they did replace the simmer valve, we feel he is due $$143.00. We feel we should be reimbursed $300.00

Review: This company charged me upfront for services that have never been performed

I hired this company to repair my washing machine, dishwasher, and a deep freeze. [redacted] repaired the first two to my satisfaction, but he stayed oddly late to get it done. Like 8 PM late, it was weird.

At this time he said he needed to order a thermostat in order to repair the freezer. He asked for full payment, including parts and labor for the freezer. He claimed he would be back as soon as he got the part to finish the repair.

Like a fool I payed him. After a week my wife tried to get a hold of him several times, leaving messages, but no response was given. After about a month I left him a not so nice message and he called back. Promised he would come up to finish, something came up, blah blah blah.

No it's been a week again, and since I can't find an address for this guy, I'm writing this.

This guy ripped me off, plain and simpleDesired Settlement: I want $200 refunded for parts and labor for my freezer. I do not want this guy back at my house! I think he may have been on drugs, and I have young children
