We had a temporary housing agreement for around 6 weeks. We had a $500 damage deposit and a $150 cleaning deposit that should have been sitting in a separate account and refunded to us when they confirmed the property was clean with no damage. I had paid through Feb 29th but cleaned and vacated on Thurs, Feb 27th. The house was just put up for sale and being viewed that weekend so people were being sent in on the 28th to confirm that there was no damage, that it was clean and to do anything that needed to be done to get it ready to be seen. We should have been refunded our money immediately. It's been over a month and we still haven't gotten our refund check.

I have attached a copy of the lease that the client signed. It clearly states that we have 30 days to refund the security deposit. Check number *** was mailed to the address on file on March 27th. After receiving the complaint notice I checked the bank account and saw that it had not cleared yet. I reached out to the client and see if she had received the check and she said she did not have the check. I verified the mailing address was correct and promptly issued her a replacement check.
Please verify with the client that this second check was received, as it was issued and mailed on the 6th, and as yet, is still not showing up as paid in my escrow account.

We have solved the mystery as to why the checks were not being received by the client. We apparently added their name and address into our Quickbooks program minus the street numbers *** So both checks that I sent to her never made it to her address and so far neither of them have been returned to me. We corrected the error and printed her another check which she picked up from us yesterday.
This is a copy of the last email I received from the client after figuring out what was happening:

I did pick up the check this afternoon, sometime between 3 and 4 pm... thank you. I went to the Revdex.com website to notify them that it was resolved but because I already responded this morning before receiving the check, it didn't seem that there was an option for me to respond again. I think it may have to go through the process of them notifying you, you responding and then I would have to reply that it was resolved when they send me your reply. Feel free to attach this email to your response to them to verify that I did get the check and that as long as it clears, the matter is resolved. Thank you! --***
