A & M Fast Tree Service

Tree stump removal services were poorly performed and resulted in damage to my front lawn.

I just purchased my first new home last month and I contracted with A&M Fast Tree Service to remove an overgrown apple tree in my front yard along with a dead bush next to the garage. ([redacted]) from A&M came out to my home on 9/21, and again on 9/23 to finish the job.

The second time he came out (I was not home) ([redacted])used a stump grinder machine and his tractor to remove the tree stump. It had been raining and his tractor tore up my grassy sod. The soil that was removed from the hole left behind where the stump used to be had been strewn all over the yard! The soil had large chunks of wood mixed throughout from the grinder machine and a great big gapping hole was left open in the ground where the tree stump had been. (And keep in mind that all of this is in my FRONT YARD of a nicely manicured patio home community!)

I was absolutely shocked when I arrived to find this diasterous mess at my brand new home. I called ([redacted]) and he proceeded to deny any wrongdoing and requested more money to come back out to repair my lawn and clean up the tree stump debris. I was furious that he had the audacity to argue that I or any other normal person would ever agree to pay for such poor and incomplete services.

Ironically when ([redacted]) came out to my new home the first time on 9/21, he commented on how "gorgeous" the community & homes there were, and how fortunate I was to have gotten such a nice home. All of the lawns are professionally landscaped and it is common sense that the mess & damage he caused would never be acceptable to just let sit like that for days in a community like this.

I have received an invoice for the services performed despite the damage caused and the incomplete poor work. I do not feel I should have to pay one dime after what he did to my new home!
