I purchased a firebox/smoker model 2-2424 from a local business on 5-31-13 and used it for the first time on 6-1-2013. During the process of lighting up the charcoal the paint on the top portion of the grill proceeded to bubble up and peel off .I notified char griller customer service and provided photos and receipt of purchase . Attached is the correspondence sent: "I purchased the firebox on 5-31-013 and used it for the first time on 6-1-2013.Upon receipt one of the grates was damaged and the paint on top of the grill bubbled up and peeled off. I have attached photos of the damage was well as the receipt and serial/model number. My information is as follows: [redacted]###-###-####."Below is the response from char griller:"Our warranty will cover the broken grates but we cannot cover the bubbled up paint on the side fire box bode. Please let me know if you would like for me to proceed with the order for the grates."
