Great job very hard working men worked late n got my job done

I'm so sorry the previous reviewers had terrible experiences. A Drain Doctor did exceptional work at my home, including identifying and repairing a plumbing problem when he was there for a septic problem. Two previous plumbers had not seen the problem and should have. I too had difficulty communicating with his office (one person who answers the phones, I think). She did not relay messages or return phone calls, but I persevered and am very happy I did.

I will never recommend A Drain Doctor nor will I ever use their service again. They are very unprofessional and don't know how to handle appropriately when a customer seeks clarification. We had a blockage on our main line in November and they came out and cleared out the roots and installed a clean-out for us. That first time we did not have a problem with them. Fast forward to January 8... we had another blockage again. We had first called Dalton Utilities and they were able to come out before *** arrived. They immediately asked who had installed the clean-out because it was not done properly. *** arrived a few minutes later and he told me to call him if Dalton Utilities couldn't fix it for us. Fortunately, Dalton Utilities told *** the clean-out needed to be re-installed correctly. So, he ended up staying while Dalton Utilities worked. The few times I looked out of my window I saw *** leaning on our outside lamp post and never saw his trailer open. After the problem had been identified, Dalton Utilities informed me what had been found. Our lateral line had a significant hole where roots were growing into our line. *** then told me he was going to re-install the clean-out free of charge since it had been their mistake by installing it incorrectly the first time. He then said he was going to cut out the section with the hole on our lateral line and replace it. Dalton Utilities emphasized to me that *** should not charge me for the clean-out since we had previously paid for it and that the area that needed to be replaced had already been dug up. He stated a price and I agreed, although I definitely felt it was overpriced. *** then went to buy the parts that were needed and he came back with Cody. After the work was completed, he sent Cody to knock on my door with my invoice to collect payment. I read it and I questioned Cody but he had not been there when Dalton Utilities was present. I paid my invoice. I was not satisfied with what had been written on my invoice. I felt I was being overcharged based on the itemized descriptions that were written. The following day I called to seek clarification and shared what I had observed that I never saw ***'s trailer open nor did I see him work when Dalton Utilities was here. "***" the supervisor who sounded like *** to me, immediately started being rude and unprofessional. He was very defensive and proceeded to personally insult me by stating that we should not have had the work done if we didn't have the money. Before I had called them I had called 2 other local plumbers in the area and asked how much they would charge for what *** had done and *** was definitely overpriced. *** was very rude and raised his voice during our conversation. When I told him to calm down that I did not appreciate his attitude that I simply wanted him to hear me out... he continued his yelling and being unprofessional. He then told me we will see you in court ..bye and hung up. Of course, they went ahead and cashed my check. I have been able to speak to others in our community and apparently *** has a reputation for being unprofessional and rude. It was definitely a lesson learned to never use their services again and I will make sure others in our community are aware of how unprofessional they are when a customer seeks clarification.
