I am rejecting this response because: This picture I'm attaching is the original receipt my daughter received from A&AThe picture THEY enclosed has been added toThe writing on the right side and the writing on the bottom was added AFTER my daughter wrote my and her phone numbers down. I agree that the best course of action would be for us to get our car and our money backHowever, after all this time, they should allow us more than one day to tow it homeAnd as for any storage fee? They were the ones who kept our car for so longWe didn't agree to it being there for months and months
We have the original paper that the quote was written on with the figures for the down payment and the customer wrote the contact phone numbers on the paper. The figures were as stated; actually, $more than stated, because we usually have incidentals such as fluid and such to buy for the transmission. The total job was $1150, of which $was paid, leaving a balance of $700, however we remembered it to be $and we are standing by that as the balance. I will forward a photograph of the paperwork to *** *** in a separate email.Multiple attempts were made to call them regarding the down payment even by the owner as we were going to begin charging storage if down payment wasn't received soon. The other mechanic that was with us left, so I can only speak to what the current mechanic and owner did. If the mechanic who left did any of what Ms*** describes we apologize and can only move forward. Perhaps there is some miscommunication between the mother and daughter as well.At this point, I believe it would be better if we refund the customer the $and ask that they have the vehicle towed by pm Friday 3/9/Regardless of any of this, we are sincerely sorry and saddened that *** *** passed. Our mechanic was friends with Mr*** and extend the family our deepest condolences
The customer's vehicle was towed in and the phone numbers provided for the customer were not valid. We did not hear from or receive money for the tow for two months. The customer brought $and it was 1/more weeks before the money for the requested repair work (part money collected
up front) was brought in. We should be able to repair the vehicle in the next few days as it has now come around for its time in the bay after the customers that were already in line for repair. In addition, the customer complained that the vehicle was removed from the property....we are in the historic portion of Asheboro and the city does not allow for a backlog of vehicles with dead tags on our lot. We simply moved it to our storage lot
I am rejecting this response because:
They're not being truthful. A man named Toby, who works for and represents the company, is the one who towed our car in October. My husband was in the hospice house, dying, at that time. We did pay the tow fee and was informed our car would be repaired SOON because they didn't have a lot of customers in front of us. They had our phone numbers and they were in working order. My daughter, [redacted], have them hers FIVE TIMES! She even wrote it down on a piece of paper in their office. So, they HAVE had a way to get in touch with us.Every time I called to check the status, I was given an excuse as to why our car have even been looked at. I gave them my number, again, to call me back. NOW, some woman we don't know and have NEVER had dealings with, tells [redacted] that we owe $650! Toby, the companies representative and mechanic, quoted is a price of $900. Half up front and half later. This woman is now trying to get extra money out of us.Also, they NEVER tried calling either one of us about moving the car. When this woman talked to my daughter, she claimed they were having personnel issues and were down to one mechanic. That isn't or problem. They've had our car for months with NO explanation as to WHY it was taking so long to fix it.I don't think it's legal for them to quote one price then switch to a higher price. I don't know who this woman is that called and is speaking on behalf of the company. Like I said, we never had dealings with her. I would like my car fixed and at a lower price than what she wants for all the aggravation we've been put through. If not, they can refund the $450 I've already paid and tow the car back to my house. My husband DIED! My children didn't have a way to come say goodbye to their father because our car was never fixed. We have had to either beg for rides everywhere or we have to walk because our car isn't fixed.
