Mr [redacted] brought his Mazda CX-to us on March 13th with transmission related issues During our initial checkout of the vehicle we found the fluid was burned (only happens when internal clutches fail causing excess heat), there was a large amount of debris in the transmission pan and the magnet was covered so badly it could not be seen There were several codes in the system including a [redacted] (solenoid C malfunction) and a [redacted] (Invalid data received from transmission) In driving the vehicle it had a very harsh engagement into reverse and was electronically locked into 2nd gear Given the burnt fluid and excessive debris along with the [redacted] code the repair flowchart called for rebuilding or replacing the transmission (including a new Solenoid C) as the first step This was explained to the customer and he agreed to the repair and price of $plus tax and shop supplies After completely rebuilding the transmission and replacing the solenoid the vehicle drove well and shifted gears but still had the Solenoid C code (***) Now that the transmission was functioning properly and the transmission computer was receiving data again (no [redacted] code) we were able to check the electronic system as the next step in resolving the overall issue It was found that the transmission computer would not ground for Solenoid C thus it too needed to be replaced We advised the customer who was very upset and began making all kinds of threats about suing us and contacting everyone that we were trying to rip him off We explained that transmission was now working properly but the computer had a fault He would not here it This is the same proceedural process any Mazda dealership or reputable shop would do After many conversations we have offered to accept $in parts cost and return the vehicle to the customer with a rebuilt transmission and NO Warranty due to the existing transmission computer fault There is no doubt the transmission had failed and we solved that problem at great expense This is our only and final offer for the customer

I am rejecting this response because: i'm close response is filled with fantasies and track coverings that I have now come to expect from them. The car was taken to a reputable transmission shop before was taken to Amco. It was diagnosed with a P0763 code solenoid see malfunction no other code was ever discussed at that time. They have the car for a few days to look deeper into and research the problems and he informed us it could be the transmission, Computer, wiring, or a wiring harness issue and he preferred not to get involved with the car. So the car was taken to transmissions to go in Jefferson County which everybody knows is the best again P063 code but no mention of the V0415 code. They had also requested more time to look into the issue but it would be at least a week before they could check it out. We need the car back sooner than that so we had to find another place. AAMCO is a stones throw from transmissions to go so we took the car there on a Saturday [redacted] let her know he could get it in first thing Monday morning. This is my wife's car and [redacted] communicated with her through the first multiple phone calls unlike his statement where he said he dealt only with me. Or alluded to it that way . First thing Monday morning my wife receive a call from [redacted] informing her of the P0673 code nothing about the V0415 code request a chargeable hour or so to be more thorough in the diagnostics and inspection to which my wife agreed. After about an hour [redacted] called her to let her know it needs a complete transmission rebuild at $2400 total cost no mention of shop supplies as an extra or taxes and they would have the car back to her by Wednesday or Thursday by the latest no later. No call Wednesday or Thursday so my wife called Friday and was informed there finishing up and try to have it by the end of the day Friday or Saturday by close to p.m. She called again at noon on Saturday and [redacted] explain they're having issues and his lead tech would it be in Monday to figure it out. Monday comes [redacted] called my wife at work and while laughing tells her I hope you're sitting down for this and tells her it's good it's a computer issue and it will be another $1800 on top of the original 2400 to fix the car and laughing tells her to let him know what to do she asked [redacted] to call me at this time. After [redacted] explained it to me I told him I won't spend another 1800 to fix the car were $3000 trade-in value so I was offered the car back the way it was for 2400 in that and have the same check engine light the auto transmission light and it was stuck in third gear start creep mode and P0763 code nothing was different than the way it was dropped off to them other than a $2400 transmission rebuild that fixed nothing. In and close response to the Revdex.com it states after the transmission rebuild and solenoid see replacement it drove well and shifted gears [redacted] never told me this but instead it was just like he received it starting to creep mode third gear so I'm confused now does it drive while on shift through the gears correctly or not? If not why would his response to the Revdex.com be it drives well and shifted gears other than trying to cover his tracks. Will he back up that statement that the car runs well and shifts through all the gears correctly or back down when asked to stand by that statement? I refuse to pay $2400 for a job I was told would fix my car and have it back in 3 to 4 days but instead did nothing to help my original issue that put the car into their shop and what he going to do about making it right. The next day he called and said 2000 is the best he could do on the rebuild. I didn't except and requested that the owner of the shop call me Mr. [redacted]. The next day [redacted] calls 2000 that's the best [redacted] Mr. [redacted] will except. I again refused have the owner call me. Next day [redacted] calls $2000 to which I responded why won't the owner called me? [redacted]'s response because he is a ghost owner comes and goes as he pleases and is not a people person and does not deal with customers. This is when I let [redacted] know I'd rather give $2500 to an attorney and let the courts figure it out. I don't believe the car was diagnosed correctly and I shouldn't be held to pay for someone else's mistake. Are they a professional transmission shop or not? How could they get it so wrong when the first two shops new to look deeper before assuming it's a transmission rebuild only? I have never been rude or threatening or disrespectful to [redacted] in anyway shape or form and vice versa but I did inform him that I would go through every available channel that I could to get this situation remedied in a manner I felt was fair.
