I was charged $154.75 for a next day receipt return on standard merchandise that was not given to me.
I went to look at firearms at 808 Gun Club on 1-26-2020. I decided to purchase a glock firearm they had in inventory.They gave me a "receipt only" and told me to go to HPD to fill out the paperwork then when I am approved by HPD I could come back and pick up the merchandise. That evening I decided I wanted a different firearm so I went back the next day 1-27-2020 to get a refund/exchange and the owner charged me 25% restocking fee. The owner had nothing to re-stock and based on their own advertising they only charge restock if it's a special order iteam. I didn't have possession of the merchandise.The owner was belligerent and rude.He refunded my money less 25%. I am requesting a full refund as I did not have possession of the merchandise and Based on their own advertising The 25% restocking fee was for "special order" items ONLY. The Glock item I purchased was a standard item and NOT special order.

Mr. *** purchased a Glock 17 Gen 5 from us back in January 26, 2020 and that is where the truth his story ends. There is a sign explaining our sales policy clearly posted in the sales showroom. The sign states there is no refund on firearms sales. It also states that if you do not qualify for your permit to acquire, we may, at our discretion buy the gun back from you minus a 25% restocking fee.
The sales policy sign also states in large red font letters the following clause: REMEMBER! It is your responsibility to
know whether or not you can legally own a firearm!
Mr. came into my store around February 17th to look at firearms. When I approached him and asked if he needed any help, he told me he had already purchased a firearm (Glock 17 Gen 5) and wanted to look at getting a different, smaller one for his daughter. I showed him the following smaller, 9mm Glocks that I have in stock. Glock 19 Gen 5, Glock 42, Glock 43 and Glock 43X. He did not like any of the firearms I showed him. I offered to show him some other compact 9mm firearms but he refused.
Mr. then requested a refund for the firearm he purchased on January 26, 2020. I told Mr. that all firearms sales were final and explained the store policy on refunds to him. I asked why he wanted to return the firearm and he stated that he could not qualify for a "Permit to Acquire Firearms as required by Hawaii State Law. When I asked why he did not qualify, he responded and I quote, "I have a medical Marijuana card". I informed Mr. of our sales policy and explained to him that I would purchase the firearm back from him minus the 25% restocking fee.
At first Mr. was not happy with the policy but stated he understood the reasoning behind it. He also stated he was going to discuss the situation with his daughter and get back to me. I gave him my business card and told him to contact me with his decision. Mr. left the store.
To date I have not heard anything from Mr. until this complaint was sent to the companies general mailbox.
