This complaint stems from our notification on 1/19/to this customer, Ms***, that we intend to take legal action if the customer does not: (i) allow us to finish three (3) sheetrock repairs, paint touch-up, and installation of a microwave shroud in a timely manner; (ii) remit immediate payment
for $2,for the upgrade from post-formed countertop to quartz that was requested by the customer; and (iii) remit final payment of insurance monies of $3,for labor and services rendered. Our original contract regarding this matter was between Bradley Construction, LLC and *** Insurance Co All work per the contract with Bradley Construction, LLC and *** Insurance Cohas been completed We never stated that the work would be completed in four (4) weeks The cabinets that had to be built to match the existing cabinets would take six (6) to eight (8) weeks In order to receive payment for labor and services rendered, this customer forced us to complete work that was not agreed to in our contract with *** Insurance Co., including:• Remove wallpaper in the downstairs hall bath, master bath, and kitchen;• Install faucet in downstairs hall bath;• Install gas line to gas range (*** Insurance Copaid to plug in an electrical gauge, which Ms*** previously had);• Install a vented range hood through the exterior wall and run wiring;• Run a outlet for the microwave, which was previously setting on the counter; and• Modify and install microwave shroud. The total estimated costs for labor and materials for the non-contracted, above items is $3, We have not charged Ms*** for any of this additional workThe only extra charge to date was for an upgrade requested by Ms*** from post-formed countertops to quartz countertop (which Ms*** has not paid for) Ms*** signed off on the quartz profile After installation, Ms*** wanted a different edge on the island, so we removed the quartz on the island, had the edge re-cut, and then re-installed In addition to our project manager who supervises our work, Bradley Construction, LLC utilizes sub-contractors and hourly employees to render labor and materials All Bradley Construction, LLC employees work under *** Bradley’s license During the course of this project, our project manager did a walk-through with Ms*** and completed Ms***’s punch-list All of the contracted work was completed, with the exception of the custom cabinets, which had to be built to match the existing cabinets (six (6) to eight (8) week time line), and a 2’ piece of quartz that was to go on one of the custom cabinets Contrary to the customer’s allegations, we are not aware of any other contractors, besides our employees and subcontractors, that have completed any work on the contract that we agreed to with *** Insurance Co Ms*** falsely accused us of stealing a home telephone During the conversation, the telephone rang and was discovered inside of the customer’s home, covered by the homeowner’s clutter Ms*** falsely accused us of removing bolts from the lid housing of a very old washing machine Ms*** falsely accused us of removing screws from the inside of a desk that closes (similar to a secretary’s desk) Ms*** also falsely accused us of letting her former husband into the house Additionally, Ms*** falsely stated that our project manager “lies about everything[.]” These accusations are untrue and ridiculous. The only items left for us to complete are (2) sheetrock patches, which were created to run electrical for the vented range hood (and was not covered under the insurance contract) that Ms*** forced us to do in order to receive progress draws, as well as a microwave shroud that was also not covered under the insurance contract Ms*** purchased the stainless steel shroud; we had the stainless steel shroud modified once There is still one more small modification to be done on the stainless steel shroud There is a faint line approximately 6’ long where Ms***’s old post-formed countertop backsplash was removed We have attempted to complete the customer’s project on multiple occasions, but have been unable to do so because the customer refuses to allow us into her home to complete the work and the customer refuses to submit payment for labor and services rendered
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
Kim B[redacted] contacted me Tuesday, February 14, 2017, he had a slurred voice (sounded like he had been [redacted]) and said he would be willing to install the face-plate for the microwave, if I would agree to pay him. I stated that he would need to sign a form through my attorney which states he would give up claim to this project. I attempted to explain that work was left unfinished and I would have to hire a new contractor to finish the work that he had left incomplete and to repair damages to my home made by him. He began to yell at me (He has yelled at me several times and sent texts calling me names and his employees have intentionally installed my kitchen faucet to resemble a [redacted]. When I complained about the installation, he defended his installer and told me the faucet was installed according to the picture on the box. I had purchased the faucet and knew that he was lying. The box had shown how the faucet should be installed and he and his installer were lying. I asked him for the box that the faucet had come in to show him that it was not true. He said they had thrown the box away.) He will not finish the work on my home and it has been since July/August since Bradley Construction began work. He had quoted the work would be finished in four weeks. Mr. Bradley has continuously lied to me, my insurance company representative and sub-contractors he employed. He does not follow-through with any promise that he makes. He has mysterious charges that he cannot account for with receipts and documentation. He received over 27,000 dollars from me and my insurance company and then quit working on my home. He blames everyone else for all the problems that have occurred throughout and takes no blame for anything. He does not appear to know how to do any of the physical work of construction and hires different sub-contractors to work on the home. He never verifies their work was completed satisfactorily, unless I complained.I contacted Revdex.com, in part, to warn others against every hiring him for their home projects. Regards,
