[redacted] I called this company to unlock my sister's house as her roommate had the keysTheir website guarantees the lowest prices in the city, a $service call and a minute response timeIt took him about to show up to the house, then informed us it would cost over $to put a new lock on and that was our only optionHe drilled through it with a regular power drill, changed the lock and left a mess of metal shavings when he leftI phoned back today and asked for a quote on replacing a lock like they had done that night and he quoted me $I asked why we were charged $and he started making excuses about how he would have to look up our fileI kept the receipt and told him the date and time of the call and he said they have no record of the job [redacted]

Was overcharged by at least 70% for servicesCalled many times in order to have issue resolvedEach time no explanation has been given as to what was done to merit such an extra over chargeFinally asked to see itemized receipt as credit card company requires this in order for a disputeReceived a mareceipt dated for March even though services were received on March ***
I needed a locksmith to do a residential entry on a Saturday evening at pmCalled Edmonton-Locksmith.com, who must have steered the call to LocksmithThey responded quickly, and with mins had the door open
Service call fee was $50, no issue with that, but they charged $for lockout, which took a total of mins
I've made attempts to call back, but no one wants to speak with me
Called them today because I got locked out of my carTheir website stated that there is only a $ service feeWhen the technician called me back he said it would be abound $to unlock my carWhen he came he saw that my ignition was on and I was in dire need to open the door so I can turn my car off before the gas wastes so he jacked up the price to $It took him less then minutes to open my car and after he opened it he told me that its going to be $because he has no proof that the service price is only $on the website. If it was a hard job I would completely understand but it took less then minutes and on the very first attemptVery inconsistent, if they wold have given me the right estimate or and up to estimate over the phone I could have called someone else but they never gave me that choice When I spoke to the manager he stated that the prices raise everyday and offered me a discount on the next time I get locked out as if I would use their service or recommended it anyoneThey are very inconsistent with their prices and will continue to raise them
Run, dont walk away from this company! *** *** ***They replaced a deadbolt on my front door and tried to charge $920! ( for an $part and less than an hours work) I was away at the time and they dealt with my good friends who were staying at my houseWhen my friends complained about the price, they got abusive and tried to bully themWorse yet, the lock was not installed properly (very shoddy workmanship - a screw that didn't attach to anything, a back piece that was loose)and the deadbolt literally fell into pieces about a week later when I was unlocking the doorSo much for security

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/06/02) */
You all called for an emergency service to unlock a house
Unlocking an house can be very tricky there are a lot of differentoaks out there ND each one of them is different ,and take different tools to unlock
That is why the pricing
is on a big range
All the prices were told you before the job was done
You agreed to the charges
That's all I'm gonna reply to this case
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/06/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all, he wouldn't provide even a slight quote over the phone, and the website has a lowest price guaranteeSince that night, I have called three other companies, and the company itself again with all lower prices quotedI understand that different locks need different methods, but after learning the type of lock that the "technician" that showed up to rekey, I had the information needed to obtain a proper quote over the phone afterwardsThis is why I'm upset that when I called back with the type of lock that we had, I was quoted under $from the company itself, and varied rates of $90-$from othersWorst of all, he used a basic drill to hack into the lock, took about minutes to complete a "$job" then left the mess of metal shavings on the floor
