3D Environmental Industries

The workmanship was sub-standard, unlicensed work was performed, and no permits were pulled by the contractor; This resulted in no city inspections.
In January 2019, we entered into a verbal contract for repairs to our home for damage caused by Hurricane Michael with 3D Environmental Industries, Inc. A written proposal was submitted to us on 1 March 2019, and the contract was signed on 3 June 2019. As work proceeded, additional damage was discovered to the master bathroom and an Addendum was added to the contract on 8 July 2019. The total cost for both contracts to 3D Environmental Industries, Inc. (hereafter called 3D Environmental) was $133,464.00.

As work on our home proceeded, we asked the VP of 3D Environmental if he was going to pull permits for the work. He stated on several occasions that we didn't need permits. We found out in August of 2019 that we did need permits, so we pulled them ourselves. This meant that no work done on the insulation, the electrical systems, or any plumbing was inspected by the City of Lynn Haven in the year of 2019. Also, none of the work in the master bathroom was completed by a licensed plumber or a licensed electrician.

The quality of the work was continuously below standard and we asked for many items to be fixed. They include, but are not limited to, cracks in ceiling repairs, outlet and wall switch openings cut to the incorrect size, walls not being prepared before they were textured, wall and floor tiles incorrectly installed in the master bathroom, and hardwood floors incorrectly installed.

In addition to the work, there were several bills that needed to be paid. Damage to our refrigerator was done by 3D Environmental employees, two new bathtubs were cracked by 3D Environmental employees, and the cabinets that were installed in the master bathroom were to be paid for by 3D Environmental. The cabinets were never paid for and we are waiting to see if the cabinet company will place a lean on our house.

The last time we had work on our home by 3D Environmental was 17 April 2020. On 27 April 2020, Mr. informed us via phone call that he was abandoning the job and would not be coming back to the work site. He told us to have someone finish his work, pay them, and send him a check for the difference. He did not complete one room in the house, cost us to spend over $53,000 just to complete the master bedroom/bathroom work, and now he has filed to dissolve 3D Environmental without paying for our cabinets our damage done in our home.
