I sold my home to down size in April and moved into a rental house I used a local moving company *** *** *** guys and they did the work in hours The drive time between the houses was minutes They were not available in the move
Eleven months later, I purchased a tome and needed to move out of the rental and into the newly purchased home The drive time is minutes and I moved the same items except:
I did not move: one queen bed, fridge from garage, riding lawn mower from original move
I added items over and above original move: son's small desk son's dorm size room fridge, medium boxes (his bed was included in the original move) These items wash space wise
I made a list of the items and emailed to multiple moving companies for a quote since original moving company was not available I went with Two Men and a Truck and have a quote of $***.**
It was estimated hours, men, truck All were very nice but at least one smel

We hired two men and a truck as a subcontractor to move furniture from the inside of the house to the garage at a customers residenceWe moved them out to sand the hardwood floorsOnce the floors were complete, men & a truck were to move the furniture back in the houseThere employees moved the refrigerator from the garage to the entry foyer, then dragged the refrigerator on a blanket through rooms to the kitchenThe newly finished floors have scratches through the finishThey will take no responsibility to fix the floorThe furniture has to be moved back out and the floors have to be re-sandedTwo men and a truck wants to recharge us to move the furniture again and will not take responsibility for the damage they caused
This complaint is for the incorrect franchise. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK *** *** did not perform this move. Having said that - the following is the response from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Richmond:This move was a two part move. During the first part (moving items out of the
home for renovations) we scratched the door of the refrigerator and dented one of the doors. We informed our customer that when presented with coverage options, they selected basic value coverage. This option covers every item at ** cents per pound per item. Our customer was very upset with this settlement and requested full payment for repairs. In order to show good faith, and this being the first move completed we honored their request and paid the $***.** for the damaged door, parts, and labor even though we were contractually obligated to pay around $*** based on a weight of lbs. It was clearly discussed that moving forward, our customer would have the option at the outset to purchase Full Value coverage...covering up to $* per pound per item or up to $*** per contract for any structural damaged. The second move (the move back into the house) is the move of record for this complaint. Again, after presented the option of purchasing Full Value coverage - our customer selected the basic value coverage which provides protection up to $.** per pound per item or up to $** per contract for any structure damage during moving (walls, floors, etc...). The floor was scratched when moving the refrigerator into the home. To show good faith, we offered to pay out the maximum amount of $*** per any structural damage even though our customer did not purchase the Full Value Coverage option. Our customer denied this settlement and stated that we would need to move the items back out of the house, pay for the refinished flooring, pay for the hotel lodging for a week, pay for the meals of the family for the week, and move the customer back into their house...all expenses covered by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.We denied this request stating that we had already offered to give them the maximum amount, even though they didn't pay the premium for this Full Value coverage. After our denial of their request - our customer filed a claim with our insurance agency without our knowledge. I then had to provide our adjuster with the documentation stating the maximum of $** our customer was owed.Lastly, there is still an outstanding balance owed of $*** for a separate job performed for this customer.Cordially,Stephen M***

Very unprofessional and rude
I was aware of our customer’s poor move experience on 3/27/17, a few days after her move. We investigated it with our crews and manager on duty the day of the move. We then immediately sent her the following email: “[redacted], Good morning. Thank you for your feedback....
I’d definitely like to dive into this a bit further so we can do our best to make everything right for you. This sounds like a poor move and unacceptable service. I’ll be in the office today and can talk at your convenience. Thanks,” After this email was sent – I did not hear back from our customer until this notice from Revdex.com and other forms of notification. (Credit card disputes and [redacted] review.) After reading these notifications we emailed her again and have been in touch since. We’ve offered her a reduced settlement for her move expense and are waiting to hear back from her.
Great lawyer, my case was very complicated and with their help I won. I would always recommend them to my friends. I live in a different state so everything was handled through phone and internet, they did a great job.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have contacted the business several times, and still have not received all of the information I requested necessary to file a police report. This last correspondence from them, for example, is the first time I have heard that there was an internal investigation or that it had come to conclusion.
Furthermore, I am frustrated that this business feels that their mistake should require effort on my part to resolve. They were contracted to move items from one location to another. If they lost one or more of these items, then it is their responsibility to take any actions necessary to rectify the situation. If they feel that this was more than simple loss of an item, it is their responsibility to initiate and follow through with any legal action necessary. I paid them for a service which was not completed to my satisfaction, and I would like compensation from them to cover the cost of their error.

Typically, when customers feel items have been taken without their permission we first have an internal investigation, and in a...
case as this which we can't find any evidence on our side, we encourage them to file a police report with their local office. Our locations will cooperate with the investigation. Further action is taken by the location based on the outcome of the investigation. Both my office as well as our corporate office have notified her of this. To the best of our knowledge she has not filed a report. We will still cooperate with the authorities to help bring this to a conclusion.
Thank You,

The staff at this law office are very unprofessional. No experience in customer service. Lack communication skills and treat their clients very rude. Do not file applications in a timely fashion. I would never recomend this law office who has a need for immigration services.
As previously stated, our moving trucks are checked each night and there was no evidence this item was left behind. In addition, the customer initialed the moving paperwork confirming they completed a final walk thru to verify all items were moved, were placed in their proper places and nothing was left on the truck.
Although more than 30 days passed between the move date and the report, we completed an internal investigation. Our movers stated they did not recall seeing this item. If the customer believes their item is missing, the customer should consider filing a police report. Our office will fully cooperate with any investigation. Because the item was owned by the customer, the customer would be responsible for contacting the authorities.
With regard to the customer stating she is waiting for information from our office; we have no knowledge of the information she is requesting. We contacted her on 5/9/14 and left a message asking for a return phone call.
Until further information is provided to confirm our office is responsible for the missing Wii, this claim remains denied.
