Our review is based on the type of customer service we received from using 1st Choice Movers LLC. The service given made our moving experience a joyous occasion . As we all know moving can sometimes be stressful. With punctuality, careful consideration of your property and competitive pricing it made our move go smoothly. We would definitely use them again. It was a pleasure. Thanks again for making our experience a joyous one.
1st of all.. Whatever response comes from the company on this post, I encourage you to look at YELP and other reviews. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH... Ron will tell you he's been in business for 24 years and has an A+ on Revdex.com. How many reviews on Revdex.com? 3!!...yes 3 total reviews and one of which blasts him. Try YELP -- 1.5 average. You'll sign up for 2 movers upon which Ron will call you in route to the house and because of his "experience" tell you that you'll need 3 movers. Faster and cheaper. Yeah right. Our estimate doubled. But please don't take if from me. Read the other reviews -- you'll find PLENTY of reviews saying the same thing. Start with 2 movers and end with 3 movers. Good job Ron, you've mastered the bait and switch. DO YOUR HOMEWORK PEOPLE. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Don't take if from me or the response I receive on this post, take if from all the other reviews he's received.
There should be a ZERO STAR option because this place deserves ZERO!

I AM DISABLED AND LIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY!! I also had BACK SURGERY A MONTH AGO!!!
I hired this so-called company to get my big furniture moved after a different company fell through at the last minute. They were hired to move my large furniture items...which a COUCH would be one of those things considered large! I had to change the items to "large only" because I was given an "estimate" that was NO WHERE NEAR CORRECT!!! Just to move what few items I had left, was going to be over double what I was quoted and we had already moved 9/10 of my apt ourselves. So I had to change it to "just large items" which cost me $500 for 1.5 hrs at the apt and 45 minutes at my storage unit. I paid these 2 "professionals" every LAST dollar I had AND was forced to pay, up front AND sign something, BEFORE they would even lift a finger!! I kept reiterating to them to get the "big stuff" out first. They lolly-gagged along with walking, charged me from the time they stepped foot in my old apt without even doing a thing, for at least a half hour! In the end these 2 tore out the screen on the balcony to try to get my couch out, KNOWING FULL WELL IT WASN'T GOING TO WORK BEFOREHAND!! One of them continually ARGUED with me that my couch did NOT come through the same door they were trying to take it out of! I SAW with my own eyes that it came in that same door!! There is NO WAY something goes IN but can't get OUT!!! In the end they just left my expensive leather couch til the very last thing, tried for 15 minutes to get it out, then gave up after 2 tries and basically said "Oh well. Too bad so sad!" and LEFT MY COUCH IN THE APT WITH A RIPPED OPEN SCREEN!!! I knew that this guy, telling me it was impossible to get the couch out, was a big lie. Apparently, they were afraid of, or did not want to, do a little hard work!! I say that because the 2 guys that got that couch IN my apt got it OUT AND loaded in their truck in under 20 minutes the next day!!! AND I had to pay those guys ANOTHER $100 to finish the job I had paid "1st Choice Movers" to do the day before!
"Ron" also said I would not be charged for his guys going back to try again to get my couch out but then left it anyway. The one guy, "James" handed me the paper, I had stupidly signed in order to get this nightnare move started, to find Ron LIED to me and STILL CHARGED ME MORE!!! When these 2 unloaded my belongings into my storage unit, it all had to be moved and stacked because these 2 were too lazy to do the job right the 1st time!!
RON likes to call you names, patronize you and has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WHATSOEVER!!
AND HIS "TEAM," JAMES AND CARLOS ARE. TERRIBLE"MOVERS!"

1st Choice Movers has been in business for 24 plus years and has moved over 20,000 customers. We are an accredited business of the Revdex.com with an A+ rating. The comments and language used by Ms. is very disrespectful of our employees and company. When someone goes low with hateful, mean spirited and unkind remarks, I must defend our company and moving crew. James and Carlos first customer this day, Nolan *** praised their great service and gave them a 5 star review rating. At the judgement of our trained professional movers, who attempted to move the sofa, damage was going to happen to the sofa, walls or door frame of the apartment building. They were not willing to damage property, after trying unsuccessfully to remove the sofa from the apartment. Ms. did not pay $500.00, she paid $440.00, with $60.00 still due which we waived. Our e-mail confirmation prior to Ms. clearly stated our hourly rate. Ms *** is attempting to destroy our reputation because our movers were not willing to force the sofa out and possibly damage sofa, walls and door frame. Our team of movers, move large items all the time. Pianos, gun safe, large sofas, etc. I don't think James and Carlos should be berated and belittled because they were not willing to perform an unsafe procedure. We have been made fun of and put down for nothing. I never insulted, lied or patronized Ms., this is simply not true. Our movers tried many times to get the sofa out, but were unsuccessful and did not want to damage anything. After many years (5 plus) working for us, we trust James's judgement that the sofa could not be removed without damage. Thank you. 1st Choice Movers LLC Management

I feel like they really took advantage of a disabled woman!!
I had to hire the 2 competent men that moved my couch IN to that apt, to move it OUT the next day in under 5 minutes! Which cost me ANOTHER $100!! It was removed from the apt AND loaded in under 20 minutes!! So, apparently James does NOT know the correct way to move furniture!! I reiterated over and over to get the "big stuff" since the quote I was given to move my belongings was WAY underquoted! I had to focus on ONLY the large items. The couch was the LARGEST item and was put off to the last 15 minutes!!!
This place is a rip off and Ron DOES speak to you in a very patronizing tone!!
Plus, I have never heard of a place who makes you pay upfront AND sign a "blsnk contract" before lifting a finger.
They looked at the job, took the job AND my money, and never finished the job!!!
"Last Choice Movers" is a better name!!!
By the way, when I hired the 2 COMPETENT employees the n3xt day for MORE money, to move my couch OUT they did NO damage to the property, unlike James and Carlos, who left a GAPING HOLE IN THE SCREEN OF THE BALCONY knowing full well it was NOT going to work! I did NOT stoop LOW speaking of them for any reason that was NOT befitting! They LEFT THE JOB UNFINISHED AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME!! Maybe they should hire the 2 COMPETENT men I had to hire to get my expensive furniture out since his 2 employees OBVIOUSLY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY! AND YES, he was VERY patronizing! But, I'm sure these 2 COMPETENT movers wouldn't work for such a low-rated company, proven by the MANY low reviews they have received!! I am only speaking the truth from 1st hand experience!
