We purchased a puppy from this business for $2242 with papers saying it was a mix of Coton de Tulier and toy poodle- aka "Coton Poo". Upon DNA testing, the mix is bichon, King Charles spaniel and cocker spaniel- nothing like we were sold. When I talked with the owner Roger Menezes he said he cannot "guarantee" the dog breed and would do nothing to make this right. He said DNA testing has faults and is not reliable - our Vet says it is. We understand that the DNA testing might not be perfect, but it sure would not be 100% different from what we were sold. Mr. Menezes was contentious, disrespectful and downright unbusiness like in his response. We offered to show him the DNA paperwork and work toward a solution that was agreeable to both parties. He said he would do nothing to make it right. I have been in business myself for over 40 year and this person is one of the worst with which I have ever had to try to work something out for both parties.

I purchased a puppy from Local Breeders Puppies on 1/23/19 and was told that it was a teacup Morkie (Yorkshire Terrier and Maltese mix) breed. I paid a total of $2,700.39 under the impression that I was purchasing the puppy that the store advertised and also put on my contract. I recently had a DNA test completed on the puppy from Banfield Pet Hospital and found that it is 50% Yorkshire Terrier, Biewer Terrier and a 12.5 mixture of a companion group (Pomeranian, Pug, Shih Tzu, Bichon Frise or Keeshond) and sporting group (Weimaraner, poodle, Golden Retriever or Cocker Spaniel). My wife purchased a BKC certification before receiving the DNA test back from Banfield. This is a fake certificate from someone affiliated with Local Breeders. That was an additional $69 to get the puppy's chip registered and to get the certification. On the certification it lists the puppy as also being half Yorkshire Terrier and Maltese. The puppy has also reached 6lbs which definitely makes it not a teacup. It most certainly looks nothing like a mix of both breeds and I'm not even sure if a chip was in fact placed in the puppy. I plan to check on that in my next vet visit.

Received a Pomeranian puppy as a Valentines Day gift on Valentines Day. When I arrived it looked kind of rinky but hey I wasn't judging. store associate presented me with a gorgeous Pomeranian puppy that I instantly fell in love with! As they finished filling out paperwork I simultaneously glanced at vet paperwork at that point the associate mentiond my puppy had a igeniul hernia that had been repaired on 2/2/19 only 12 days prior immediately freaked out and started to ask several questions to get clarification on the ingeniul hernia. The male associate assured me she was fine and showed me the scars assuring me it was healed! I picked her up from Local Breeders Puppy store at around 2:30 pm by the time we got 20 mins down the road my poor puppy started coughing and gagging. Initially I thought it would go away but that evening it got worse the next morning I called my vet *** to get a appointment for her but they had nothing available until Sat 2/26/19. On Saturday 2/26 I took puppy to *** at that time I was told she had a virus. (I knew it was not) like a cold. They gave her one shot, heart worm and flea protection and sent us on our way. 12 hrs later she was vomiting & diarrheaing & still coughing severely at that time I called *** per hospital and spoke with a nurse the nurse and I both agreed to bring her in to run Parvo test. Test came back with a strong positive. At that point I contacted Roger owner of Local Breeders store and explained he sold me a puppy with Parvo and that I was at the hospital now. He quickly said *** did not know what they were talking about and the test was wrong! He asked me to return the puppy, that I myself and three kids were already attached to. I explained to him she was part of our family and we were looking to get her proper medical attention at the hospital. I told Roger I would call back once I spoke with doc and was provided more info and got costs of care. I was told pup needed immediate medical attention & hospitalization
