Yankee Self Storage & Movers Reviews (2)

On Aug 2, [redacted] told me that my refund should go through "in a couple of days." As of today, Sept 3, it has not.I am a landlord. When a tenant is evicted, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires a landlord to prepay for six months of storage for that tenant's belongings. If a tenant want her stuff back, she must pay the storage fee, and the storage company is required to refund the landlord. This is actually the second time I have tried to get a refund from the storage company, Yankee Movers; the first time was so frustrating, that I come to you, the Revdex.com.In October of 2012, I evicted a tenant, and prepaid through April 10, 2013.On Feb 26, at 10:00 am, I spoke to [redacted], at Yankee Movers, who said that the tenant had been paying for "the last three months," so Yankee Movers would refund me for those three month's of storage. On April 16, I had still not received a refund. I spoke to [redacted] again, at 12:05, and I was told that the tenant had paid for four months, and that she would refund the money. On April 24, I had still not been refunded. I spoke to [redacted] again, and she said that $ 476.00 would be refunded to my card.On May 13, I had still not received a refund. When I spoke to [redacted], she said, " I will check it in the morning with 'the guy.'" On June 5, two months and many phone calls later, my credit card was refunded for four months' of storage. On June 5, I spoke to [redacted], and she said that the tenant paid for her fifth month, and would be paying the sixth month 'next week."On August 8, I had still not received that second refund that I am owed. I spoke to [redacted] and she said, "...it should go through in the next couple of days."As of today, September 3, I have still not received my promised refund.I would like to be refunded $ 238.00, the last two months' worth of storage fees that I am due.Desired SettlementI would like to be refunded $ 238.00, the last two months' worth of storage fees that I am due.Business Response The landlord needs to understand that we are trying to get his storage funds back for him. We have been able to get the four months for him so far and have received the fifth month which has been credited to his account today. The tenant has promised to pay the balance for the landlord arrears this week. The tenant has promised this several times, which has led to a misunderstanding between ourselves and the landlord as to when he will receive his refund. We apologize for the misunderstanding and hope to get this matter settled quickly. As soon as the tenant brings in the last months rent we will issue another credit to him.
