Yankee Hill Machine

Good morning here is my problem I had order my HRC [redacted] hunting rifle from Yankee Hill Machine (place order from [redacted] he has the FFL)and from [redacted] the order went to YHM. [redacted] received an email from YHM saying they had received my order on 3/25/13 & order #XXXXX and it will take 8-12 months until it ships out. I had put money down on this order with [redacted] in order to lock in the deal (contract) with [redacted] and YHM. After 12 months of emails and phone calls to YHM they sent [redacted] a email saying the order is no longer found. (email from YHM on 3/31/2014 7:48 AM). Thank youDesired SettlementI still want my rifle! but I want it at there cost and in 30 days!Business Response As far as my lack of response to your original notification of the complaint, I was not going to reply to Mr. [redacted] without having the Revdex.com involved. The original letter I received did not have the Complaint Reply information on it so I had no way to respond through the Revdex.com.First and foremost Mr. [redacted] is not a customer of Yankee Hill Machine Co., Inc. he is a customer of [redacted] doing business as [redacted] Mr. [redacted]'s complaint should be with them. Any "contract' he had to purchase goods was with them solely not Yankee Hill Machine Co., Inc.We did take an order from [redacted] for a rifle with the [redacted] number [redacted] on March 25, 2013 but we have no idea what [redacted] intention was for the firearm.Because of the shooting in December 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School the nature of the firearms industry was crazy in 2013. By the beginning of the year we had sold out all of our capacity for the year and then some. By March when this order was placed we were telling customers who ordered complete firearms that it would be over a year before they would see their purchases. By October the bottom had dropped out of the firearms industry and over 80% of our customers were canceling orders as we were trying to ship them. Because of this constant cancellation of orders, in January we started calling all customers with open orders prior to August 2013 to see if they were still interested in taking the orders. Most customers canceled their orders. After making 3 attempts at contacting a customer and not receiving a call back or email to the contrary we unilaterally canceled the orders. This is what happened to the order we had with [redacted] on April 7, 2014 placed another order with us for this firearm and it is in our system and will be filled as parts become available. The upper and lower receivers are out for hydrographic coating as of this reply and the firearm will be the first to get built when the parts are returned. I will not guarantee a date.As far as Mr. [redacted]'s demand that we sell him a firearm at our cost that is not going to happen. Perhaps he can get [redacted] to cut his cost because they are the ones that caused the cancellation of the order by not getting back to us.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)To YHM who has the (A+)rating from Revdex.com I think not! [redacted] has been open and honest on ALL contact information. YHM took my order from [redacted] gun as they stated on 3/25/13 and I personally had contact with YHM by phone & email thought-out 2013. I also sent YHM my copies of emails before filing this complaint and I do have return receipts showing that they open my emails on 4/1/14 at 07:21 AM . And here is one of the emails that YHM responded to (Sir,Not much to update you on. We are still way behind and you will not see this gun for at least another 6 months. Unfortunaly we cannot build guns when we cannot get the parts necessary to build them. We still canot get barrel blanks to make barrels, or castings to manufacture uppers. We are trying our best but unfortunately are still way way behind.) This email was from 11/18/13 at 08:57 AM. I see nothing about canceling my order or YHM contacting any person at [redacted] YHM's reply on 4/28/14 is something of a joke! They reply that a high number of orders were cancel and for that reason they called out and cancel other orders ????? So a person would think that with all these cancel orders they be happy with someone still wanting there order to be filled. With all the gun parts not being used on the cancel orders. Why would you cancel someone's order that you just reply to on 11/18/13 ?? I will be happy to send ALL my emails that I have file away for the year (2013)on this matter to Revdex.com to show who is being truthful ! YHM is pointing there finger at everyone and making excuses! (Take some ownership) I still want my rifle! but I want it at there cost and in 30 days!... Thank you Final Business Response The parts for rifle ordered by [redacted] Corp. came in on Monday 5/12/14 it has been assembled, taken to the range and sighted in. It will ship to them today. YHM is not extending any form of reduced cost to Mr. [redacted] as stated in our last response. His issue is with [redacted] Corp. and should approach them for a discount on his rifle.When made aware of the issue by [redacted] Corp a replacement order was placed as stated in our last response. It has now been 28 business days since the order was placed and the rifle is ready for shipment.YHM has a A+ Revdex.com rating because we take customer service very seriously. We rectify all customer complaints to the best of our ability to do so.This complaint is closed in our opinion.
