The care from my cardiologist, Dr. [redacted] has been great- very thorough and detailed and takes the time to explain.
The office on the other hand has been a nightmare:
in the last year, they have misplaced or neglected to send referrals to providers twice (out of 3), which greatly delayed scheduling and care. I now know to follow up to the referred care provider to see if they received anything, but this can add weeks to getting in to see them.
Follow up appointments with their own center have followed the same pattern- they do not schedule out 6 months in advance, but tell you they will call and schedule when the time comes. They have not done so twice with me. On 2 other occasions I have been scheduled, then called the day before to reschedule because the doctor was on vacation or at a conference. I understand vacation and the need to keep up on advancements through conferences, but surely the doctor knew well in advance he would not be available. Getting a call so late then naturally places you way down the line for the next available appointment.
I would go elsewhere, but I really do trust the Doctor. Just wish the office would get it together.
