My girlfriend took our car to get an oil change and the tires rotated. While there the business stripped the threads on the oil plug and broke the key on the lug nuts. The business told my girlfriend the last person that changed the oil tightened the oil plug and lug nuts too tight which caused them to break today. This is not true because I was the last person to change the oil and rotate the tires. I only have standard wrenches and tire iron to work on the vehicle and there is no way I tightened them too tight. My girlfriend stated they used an impact wrench or something similar to that, which caused the lug nut key to break. They then told her they were not able to rotate all the tires and gave her back the broken key. They also placed an oversized drain plug in the oil pan and told her it was fine. Recently while I was changing the oil I noticed the shards of metal in the oil pan and it was very difficult to loosen and tighten the oil plug. After replacing the oil and plug our car now leaks a considerable amount of oil. I called the business and told them what had happened and they were aware of these events. The owner of the company said he specifically remembered this and stated the plug was stripped before it came in and the lug nuts were on too tight. I told him I replaced the oil and lug nuts with hand tools and that there was no way I tightened them too tight. I then asked him to pay for the replacement costs and he laughed at me and said no. I asked him why not and he said cause it says on the notes it was like that when it came in. I said the business writes those notes and there is regulating what is put on there. We are now taking this to the Acura dealership to have it fixed correctly and it will cost over 500 dollars to repair this issue. I was calling the business to request help with this fix and have them pay for at least half the cost. The owner said there was no way they would pay for the damage.Desired SettlementAt least half the cost of labor and parts to have this repaired correctly at the [redacted] dealership. Business Response Dear Revdex.com,In response to Case #[redacted], since the plaintiff has not provided the Revdex.com with any documentation proving the alleged service that was performed, it is our stance here at CPLE to request these said document(s) regarding the vehicle's service(s)before an accurate response can be provided.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)What documentation is the company asking for? All the damage was performed by his company and written by their technicians after the destruction of our property was performed. At no time did the service station contact my girlfriend about the over tightened lug nuts or drain pan issue. They performed the poor service and told her after words. Advising her that they're were unable to rotate all the tires because the broke the key on the third tire. They then advised her they could not complete the rotation and gave her the broken lug nut key back. This is a simply cheap compromise by the company to show the level of customer service they should be providing and my view on the professionalism of this company continues to get worse. We are not asking for the complete repair costs to be taken care of, we are merely asking for 250$, half of the damage.Final Business Response The plantiff still has not provided the Revdex.com with any documentation proving services performed by CPLE, which we simply asked for in our first response. Our position has not changedFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I am dropping off the receipt for the "oil change" which we just realized we were charged 84 dollars for this terrible service! I am not sure what else the company is expecting us to provide. I would like the company to provide the written documentation of the services they provided for the 84 dollar charge.
