It is a very user friendly system and just plain fun to use.
The recording quality is extremely good and the video gyro mount for the camera is A+. Additionally, I received outstanding customer service along the way. From the minute I purchased the drone until the time I received it I was provided with updates along the way. In today’s world this type of proactive communication is not found. I knew I had made the correction decision in purchasing the drone from Xcellent Drones before I even received it. Review: I bought a quadcoptor(quad) on 12/27/14 based on a conversation with Chris S[redacted] at Xceldrones on his item on ebay. I was convinced by him that his company was building a better custom professionally built quad, as I was going to purchase another one, but bought his on his word, I bought his for 1300.00 with a build time of 7-10 business days. 1st off they couldn't get the camera to work as advertised and offered me a upgrade for a gopro camera, I said OK for 120.00 more as it was a well known camera. On February 27th Xceldrones said it was complete and ready to ship, 2 mos. I was very patient as I thought I was getting the best. I got it and 1st out of box the Ready To Fly Quad rotated to the left uncontrollably and would not fly period. I spent 100.00 to send it back for repair, thinking it would be warrantee, it wasn't, I was charged 99.00 to upgrade the cheap motors it originally came with and 56.00 for something I don't know what for as I never got an invoice for anything. He said all was good and sent it back. It was a nice day in 3/2015 I took it outside and tried to fly the it and it immediately flew out of control and it landed on my neighbors roof. I contacted him again and sent it back for another 100.00 to be repaired. I was told the receiver was water damaged and had to be replaced and I wanted on screen display(OSD)of what the quad was doing in the air and it cost me 250.00 more. I Rec'd it back supposedly ready to go so I took it out and got it about 8 feet in the air with trouble and it took off to the left and crash landed about 200 yards away breaking 2 props and 2 landing legs. I contacted Xceldrones and Chris talk me thru several emails to get it to work as advertised and it never did. I contacted him in 5/2015 and got no reply. In all the crashes I have broken many props and landing legs and had to buy cheap props and landing gear legs as his were too much to keep breaking. I referred a friend who bought a more expensive one, it has never worked eitherDesired Settlement: Refund of all costs including shipping $2025.00 or fixed perfectly at no charge and if it doesn't work the 3rd time back I want a full refund $2025.00 and I will return the quad and all it came with at his cost for shipping.
