W.A. Hartman Memorials

My COMPLAINT with W.A.Hartman is that I ordered a headstone for my brother's grave in August 2011. It was explained to me that it would take about six months and that was a problem for me but I understood that the process would take that long because I was having a etching(photo engraved on stone. The stone arrived in February 2012. I was called to meet them at the site to put the stone down to my surprise the stone did not have the etching on it. The stone traveled all the way from Georgia and no one noticed that the etching was not on the stone. The stone sat in Harrisonburg, VA at the main office for about a week because that week was cold, and apparently no one bothered to look at the stone to see if it was correct. Needles to say I was not happy. The owner of the company was very rude and told me well you can cancel the order, I guess you have never made a mistake before. REALLY!!!!!! Okay so I expressed how unhappy I was and asked for a credit off the price for the mistake, the owner said oh no way you can not have a credit for the mistake you can cancel the order. Okay I have already waited six months and you want me to cancel the order. So it finally came back at the end of February and they called and left me a message to come out on Monday at 9:30, when I called that morning to verify the information that I was left on voicemail I was told that it would not be until 11:30 but I had not been called had I not called to check I would have left home to be there at 9:30. I had to reschedule another appointment to make sure I was there to make sure it was correct this time. I spoke with [redacted] and expressed my unhappiness in the entire ordeal and she told me that I was a person that she wished she would not have to deal with and hung the phone up.....REALLY. They made the mistake .I don't think she realizes that if W.A. Hartman does not have customers she does not get a paycheck and that she has a job that deals with emotions. Would still like CREDIT for such POOR SERVICE.
