[redacted] has been contacted and a representative is to contact our client to schedule a time to inspect the roof. If we can assist any further, please let us know.
We have a meeting set on Thursday 7/30 to determine the cause of the leak. Upon our initial visit, we did not feel it was a roof related issue. We will work with Jon to locate the cause of the leak and if roof (ours) related, repair the roof.
The roof does not need to be required to be coating...
for our warranty until the 3rd year after installation.
We have the same stance as previously stated responses. We are not responsible for the interior growth of mold that may have been present prior to our work. We were not contracted to inspect or remediate mold on interior of house. We performed the work per our contract. We do not feel as though it is our responsibility to provide any compensation.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:1. No active leak did not mean no damage. The damage had occurred before the sill pan installatio. Additionally, after the dry wall was removed the moisture reading is high when outside is raining, which indicated there is still water intrusion from the vapor barrier. They only installed 1-layer of vapor barrier which caused all of the water intrusion and is the popular stucco problem across PA.
2. The wood sheath damage was due to inproper stucco installation / waterproof layer, which caused water intrusion
3. They replaced one piece of wood sheathing beneath the window (see attached with mold and rotten). Apparently, when they replaced the sheathing, there was not damage on the stud. Now the attached picture showed enough evidence of sheathing damage and stud damage. The original sheathing is OSB.
Regards,[redacted]
We replaced approximately 190sq. of stucco on the front of the house around November 2013. Our records show we did not replace any wood or this would have been reflected on the bill. When we removed the existing stucco, we determined that the wood, from viewing it from the exterior, was not in needs...
of replaced and was a suitable substrate for new stucco. We were unable to assess the interior side of the substrate since the wall was not open (which is where our client states he is having issues: rotted 2x4’s/termites). We completed our work per our contract.
In April 2014 the client called and reported they had a leak after a extremely heavy wind driven rain. The leak was locate above the 1st floor window. We examined the leak and notified them the leak was originating from the 2nd floor window at the sill. After explaining it was not the stucco causing the issue, but the leak was from the sill of the window and that our repair would solve the issue, we returned and completed the work. In our clients complaint, there is not mention of any active leak, in fact, he states there is no leak. When we met with our client, they informed us that they had a accidental interior leak (from a pipe) that leaked all the way into basement.
At the time we performed our contracted exterior work, we did not see any signs of termites ( we were only working on the exterior) nor did we feel the wall was not suitable for new stucco. We applied [redacted] “StuccoWrap” between the stucco and the wood to prevent any moisture to be in contact with wood. We are not liable for termite damage or damage to wood on the interior of the house since we did not remove or replace any sheathing.
Review: I contracted with Volpe Enterprises to install a [redacted] Roof on my property. There are issues concerning whether or not the [redacted] Roof was installed to[redacted] specifications. To resolve this issue Mike V[redacted] assured me during the installation that he would have a representative from [redacted] inspect the job to make sure that their product was installed properly. I have called Mike V[redacted] numerous times about setting up this inspection. He has not returned any calls.Desired Settlement: Inspection of Roof by [redacted] Representative, correction of any problems.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory only if Certain Teed responds to the request. I have been waiting for two months for this to occur and do not have a lot of faith in Volpe Enterprises that they have indeed contacted Certain Teed to resolve this matter. There has been no final inspection of the project by the Project Manager of Volpe's, so I am not sure that Certain Teed will be following up to insure that the project with their materials was done to [redacted] specifications. Please note; Even though there has never been an inspection of the project to insure that the Subcontractors that Volpe sent to do my roof project did so properly, Volpe has charged my [redacted] account stating they have completed the job and therefore are entitled to payment in full.

Please apply the below statement as our response to the claimants final response.
“[redacted] completed their roof inspection and the roof was installed properly. Our Project manager was present during the roof installation and inspected after completion, finding the work at the house to meet our own high standards. We have followed our payment terms for funding of this job, which states, balance upon completion. We pride ourselves on producing quality work and being honest with our clients. We are confident by [redacted] inspecting and approving our clients 5 star certified roof, our client will have a restored faith with our company.”

Contract price did not match proposal price. Gave contract price for one room while proposal price, drawings, details etc were for the two rooms. When mistake reported we were told that rather than own up to their mistake they wanted to part ways using excuse that nothing they would do would make us happy
Review: Volpe Enterprises signed a contract to complete a kitchen renovation with a specific start data and completion date. The project was suppose to take approximately one month. All payments were made on time, in full. Volpe did not honor thier agreement in finishing within the allotted time. They in fact were not even close. The project went almost two months beyond the expected completion date without completion. Volpe then decided to stop working until we agree to revise the contract so they get even more money prior to completion. They have left our home unfinished.
Volpe had no intention to complete the work within the agreed time frame. They fraudently signed a contract to do work.Desired Settlement: We would like a $20,000 refund for incomplete work.

A meeting at the [redacted] house is scheduled for Friday March 22nd to try to resolve this situation.
Review: On 10/15/2013 I contracted Volpe Enterprises Inc. for the sum of $1663.00 to remove the half round gutters from the rear of my house, 36 linear feet. Then, to the vent the soffit, build out and cap the 36 linear feet of facia and soffit with clay colored aluminum siding, K gutters, plastic soffit, clay colored aluminum downspouts. The work was preformed 11/25/2013.
In 1/13/2014 snow and ice ripped down one half of the entire construction and pulled down and bent the the other half of the construction. I contacted Volpe Enterprises immediately and submitted claims to my home owners insurance company and they gave me an approximation of cost of repair. I believed Volpe Enterprises would cover the majority of their construction cost under warranty. Upon consulting with other construction companies they made it evident that the construction was inadequately attached to the main structure, using only some nails to attach the new construction to the main house structure. The new construction boards should have been lag bolted to the roof joists to withstand any type of snow or ice weight. As of this date August 5, 2014 my gutters still remain on the ground and I am getting water in my basement. I wish this issue resolved as soon as possible, whether replacement or refund.
Home Projects [redacted] started 10/15/13. First charge 11/25/2013 $1495.00. Volpe Enterprises Inc. Deposit Personal check #[redacted] $168.00 = Total $1663.00Desired Settlement: I wish Volpe Enterprises Inc. to either remove their old construction and rebuild the project, lag bolting it to the main roof joists or give me a full refund.
The project was funded by a [redacted] home projects [redacted] account that Volpe Enterprises Inc. submitted for me, the balance of which at this date August 5, 2014 is $1370.40. If they wish to do a refund they must pay off this balance, and refund my cash payments of $292.60. In addition, I payed Volpe Enterprises Inc. by personal check #[redacted] $200.00 on 03/14/13 for an estimate that should have been subtracted from my project costs. In total, I wish cash reimbursement $492.60. and the balance of my [redacted] account for $1370.40 payed and closed.

Review: We had window leak and asked Volpe for diagnosis and possible repair. They said it was due to stucco crack and the solution was to re-stucco. So we signed the contract and had them re-stucco the whole front elevation around the bay window area in October 2013 at a price of $6441.00. However, after the re-stucco, we still saw some water marks on the blinds in the winter. We then noticed active leak in the spring and notified them. They said the window was not sealed so there was leak. At the same time, I was told that there are major stucco issues in our area, so I had a certified inspector checked the whole house. It turned out that all of the house was fine except the re-stuccoed area. We forwarded the report to Volpe and asked them what they would do. I offered to have a stucco remediation company to take out some stucco to see the root cause. They said they would not pay anything because we did not give them an opportunity to correct their problem. I asked them if the moisture reading would decrease after the fix. They said they cannot guarantee that the moisture reading would go down but they can guarantee there would be no leak. They said the high reading could be due to prior leak and since they placed a vapor barrier the moisture cannot go away. However, based on their professional experience, these high reading would not cause any sheathing rotten or other damage. So we agreed to have them come for a fix.
They came and installed sill pan and added some caulk. During the next heavy raining days, the leak did g away. However, we noticed some winged ants swamped in the house. We had a pest control company come and they said it was termite. We did not see any other dirt trail inside the house other than some small holes. The pest control company said if we wanted to know the infestation, it might worth taking out the drywall below the bay window (leaked one). Since we did not see any leak and Volpe said the water would not go away with the moisture barrier, we thought taking out the drywall may also help drying the sheathing from inside. After we took out the drywall, there were termites inside and the sheathing were rotten. Some studs were also rotten, even the newly replaced sheathing is all black. Termites love damp area!
Now the sheathing in the first floor was exposed in the air and we can keep tracking the moisture. The reading can go up to 50 in a raining day. The reading ranged from 11-25 in a normal day. Apparently, water is penetrating to the sheath.
Since Volpe did not fix the water problem and it caused additional damage, we would like a full refund ($6441) in addition to the termite treatment ($919).

Volpe is not performing the work per currect code on stucco. Current code requires 2 layer of wrap and weep screed.
Volpe only provided 1 layer of wrap without weep screed, which caused severe damage inside.
Volpe should not have done any stucco work that are not complied with the construction codes.

I am contacting you in reference to a client who is disputing their work done at there residence. The clients names are [redacted].
I would like to note that [redacted] (who they are financed through) has investigated this matter as well and has proceeded to continue there full billing cycle with the [redacted].
I have attached a copy of the invoice charge, pictures of the completed job and add ons, a response email to **. [redacted]’s Feb 6th email, our Terms and Conditions and also a copy of our contract showing what was contracted to do.
There are a few items I would like to note:
- We have done over $250,000 worth of financing with many different clients through [redacted] within the past year, this being the first client who has disputed a charge. We bill our client according to our contracts; we do not pre-fund the projects.
- The “Pictures” attachment shows work that has been completed, some that are over and above our contractual agreement, and that were completed at no charge. The pictures will also show the completed project.
- **. [redacted] states we did not respond to his email/letter. On Feb 20th, we outlined his entire email line by line. The next response from him was through [redacted]. Throughout the email you will see us refer to our “terms and conditions” which is on the back of every signed contract. (I have attached this document as well)
- We have detailed contracts so work being completed is clear and to prevent confusion. We divide our contracts into sections so our clients can understand the process (Ex. Demo & Drywall, Framing, Electrical, etc.) **. [redacted] claims we need to “fix” his wall where it is “uneven”. These were existing walls. In our contact, the only wall we built was a 24”x96” wall (for shower) and we installed a new door to the bathroom.
- **. [redacted] also states that we have damaged his property and haven’t done anything about it. In our email, we address this. We did make a return trip to spackle the affected areas in the adjacent room where the process of construction may have slightly damaged an existing area as well as replace water damaged ceiling tiles in the basement.
- Please refer to the attached email dated 2/20 (response to **. [redacted]’s email). At the end it states, “the work that we completed exceeds our contractual agreement”.
- The “Paid Invoice” attachment also shows a 10% ($3,215.50) discount this client has already received at the time of sale.
As you will see we have gone above and beyond to satisfy our client. From replacing hidden plumbing work that was not reusable to painting additional areas. We value our clients and strive to complete projects on a positive note. It is disappointing to us that this has not happened, especially with a beautiful custom bathroom we installed for this family.
If you have any further questions or need more clarification, you can contact me at our office, ###-###-#### or via my email.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
The company never came out and basically fabricated their story given them by [redacted] . The project manager readily admitted they did not make the curb to the shower correctly in a letter. I am going to get estimates and have daily pictures of how all of the walls were gutted to studs. There were no significant extras , paint , all pipes and claims were done by Volpe according to the workers to make it easier on the job being done. [redacted] Volpe never came to my Home and the walls are still uneven. Damages to the room below we're not repaired. [redacted] has not determined the project done , we are in current dispute status. I have asked for a discount .

Review: During the week including June 1, 2013, my wife discovered two flat tires on her vehicle. I found screws in both tires, causing the damage.
On 6/1/13, I asked a Volpe Enterprises associate, who was in my driveway, if he were working with screws, to which he replied no. When I looked over to where he had laid down a [redacted] cordless drill, there were many screws placed on a step. Those screws were of an identical size and type to the ones which damaged our tires. I asked that he kindly wait so I can show him that I pulled the same screws out of two flat tires on my wife's vehicle.
The associate said, "I haven't got time for this." I went inside my house to get the screw to show him that the screws in the tires were identical to the ones which he was using. He acknowledged that he uses this type of screw, took it from me, and then stated, "Can you hurry up, I have work to do."
To put things into perspective, the Volpe Enterprises vehicle was parked in my driveway, blocking my exit and entry. Somehow, I do not believe that this associate's behavior is consistent with Volpe Enterprises' focus on, "quality, honesty, integrity." Not only did this person not take responsibility for his carelessness, but he was rude as well.Desired Settlement: One tire is repairable, the other is not due to the location of the puncture. An equitable outcome would be the repair of one tire, from the inside out, the replacement of a second tire, and the mounting and balancing of two tires.

I am rejecting this response because:
A) Rude behavior by Volpe employee was not addressed
B) Name of said employee is needed for further action
C) No offer to resolve the situation was proposed
This business had no permission to use/block my driveway, nor to drop/leave materials behind, that caused damage to a vehicle.
