I have been in contact with [redacted] for several days and have been trying to find out what happened to this $200.00 certificate that he claims he dropped off here back in December, after much searching through the corporate office to see if there's anything in there system that was issued under...

his name or his wife, also phone or e -mail and there's no trace of it anywhere in the system, not once did I say he's not in OUR dealership records, what I did say is that he doesn't appear in corporate records to have been issued such a coupon, in our last conversation things escalated from his end to a point where I felt it was best not be on the phone with him any longer. We have had instances in the past where a customer has received a coupon for the $200.00 and have lost it prior to them coming in and have helped them receive another one by reaching out to corporate and they re-issue a new one once they see that they exist in their system, unfortunately in this case no one was able to find him in the system, I certainly have tried to help him and regardless of who's fault it is, I will be sending a check to him for the $200.00 over night, hopefully this will make him happy and be able to move forward.Regards,[redacted]

Review: On April [redacted], 2014, I called Volkswagen of Huntington and spoke with a sales rep by the name of [redacted]. I advised him I was interested in a Volkswagen Jetta and went to another Volkswagen dealership and was offered what I believed to be a high price and questioned whether or not he could beat the price. He informed me he was in fact able to beat the price, and quoted me a cheaper amount than the other dealership. I told him the style and color I wanted and he told me there was only one left, and encouraged me to leave a $500 deposit, which I explained I couldn't do and we agreed on a $100 deposit. I advised him I wouldn't be able to come to leave a deposit until the weekend because I work during the week, and he advised me to provide my MasterCard number and the deposit can be done over the phone. Despite him being a fast-talking gentleman and me being skeptical with providing such info telephonically, he assured me it would be secure information and the deposit was REFUNDABLE. I provided him with the information necessary to process the $100 charge. I spoke with him and his [redacted], [redacted], and advised them I'd be in the following week to pick up the car. I again questioned whether or not the $100 deposit was refundable and explained I was still shopping around. They both ASSURED me the money was refundable and they'd be waiting for me to come in. In the interim, I found another car comparable in price and went with that car instead. On the day I purchased my new car which was April [redacted], I called the Volkswagen of Huntington dealership and spoke with [redacted], advising him I was no longer interested in the vehicle and asked him to return the refundable $100 deposit. He was clearly upset and aggravated but told me it would be processed and hung the phone up in my face. Not believing it would be done, I called his [redacted] (the [redacted]) [redacted] the following day (Sunday, April [redacted]) and left a voicemail on his extension. He, of course, never called me back so on Monday, April [redacted], I called again and spoke with him directly. I immediately questioned him not responding to my voicemail message and his reply was "the credit was processed, which is why I didn't call you back". I asked how long it would take for the credit to apply to my account and he said "3-5 business days". On the [redacted] business day which was Friday, April [redacted], I called back questioning my refund and no one would come to the phone and so I left voicemails on both of their extensions advising them I didn't receive the refund and needed a call back. I also advised them I didn't want to contact the Revdex.com but if necessary, to get my $100 back I will. Yet and still, no one called me back. I called my bank and they advised me of a 90-120 day turnaround time for them to come to a conclusion on whether or not I will be refunded. Today, April [redacted] I again spoke with the [redacted] and advised him of the frustration I was having as well as me not receiving the refund and his response was he couldn't control the length of time it takes for me to be refunded (which is not what I was originally told). He then told me he would have someone from the accounting department call me back and of course, I never received a follow-up call. The bottom line is, I was assured on more than one occasion the deposit was refundable, and then advised the refund was applied when it clearly wasn't.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would like my $100 REFUNDABLE deposit returned as promised and I would also like this company to be exposed. The lack of professionalism I've experienced all because I didn't purchase a car from their dealership is ridiculous. Not to mention the hassle I've had to go through, from calling them at least 10 times, to then contacting Citibank (to no avail), to ultimately having to spend 45 minutes contacting the Revdex.com. This is unacceptable especially since money is involved and I hope someone can help me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Good Afternoon,

This email is to inform you I just received an email which included an attachment of a receipt showing a full refund as of today, 04/**/2014. I was advised as of 04/**/2014, 04/**/2014, 04/**/2014, and 04/**/2014 the refund was processed and would take 3-5 business days to post to my account. When I called yesterday, 04/**/2014, I was advised the refund was processed and they cannot "control the length of time it takes to post to my account", and "it is probably delayed due to the holiday" (which was on a Sunday which would have nothing to do with the receipt of the refund considering the [redacted] business day was 04/**/2014). I received a call today from the [redacted] asking for my MasterCard number yet again (they asked twice before regarding this refund) to process the credit again. When I asked where my information went previously and why it had to be re-submitted if it was submitted on 04/**/2014, the [redacted] responded "I don't know".

I hope this email and all the information I've supplied thus far makes it to the Revdex.com website because this company tried their hardest not to give me my refundable deposit back which means they'll do it again. It is unfair that I've had to wait almost a month to receive something they assured me I would get back immediately, all because they're upset about not getting a sale. Furthermore, I was lied to when I was told 4-5 times the credit was processed because if it was, they wouldn't have called me back again today asking for my card information yet again, and send a receipt confirming a refund just now, as of today. This place has scam written all over it and its a disgrace!!

I look forward to hearing from someone soon and thank you for your time.

Regards,

Review: I am frustrated by VW of Huntington finance department's tricks and gimmicks to trap consumers in buying extended warranties that are (optional) but tell customers it's required by the bank in order to get approved for a loan and when they want to they cancel, VW of Huntington drag their feet for months to issue a refund.

I bought a used car from VW of Huntington back in August 2013, I was told by the finance officer that The bank required me to purchase extended warranties in order to get approved. So I did purchase both a service warranty and a tire warranty to increase my chances for an approval, just like [redacted] from the finance department said. In July of this year, I got tired of the car and needed a bigger one, I wanted to trade it in. I did some research to see what my options are since I was still on a loan, I found out that I was upside down on the loan. I knew about vehicle depreciation and I anticipated that but I also found out that one of the reasons I 'm so deep is because I purchased the extended warranties. On July ** 2014 I went to the dealer to cancel the warranty, they made me sign papers and informed me that it could take 4 to 6 weeks to apply the refund to the lein holder. However, 3 months later, they have not refunded the money and when I went to the dealer they told me that there was a problem with the guys in bookkeeping again yesterday 11/*/2014 I was told that it hadn't been processed and I will get a phone call by day's end yesterday...today 11/*/2014 I'm still waiting for the phone call. I took one step further by calling fidelity directly and was surprised to learn that they have processed this cancellation since August. The customer service representative told me to go back to the dealer and find out why they haven't refunded the money yet because they did their part and they couldn't understand why the dealer would hold it. So, today 11/**/2014, 10:00 am I went to the dealer one more time and spoke with [redacted] and confronted him with the new fact that fidelity told me that the refund has been processed since August and the fact that I was waiting for his phone call yesterday that never came. He casually said: I didn't call you because I'm still waiting for an answer and that you need to wait a few more days to get an answer.

These guys are playing games, they're unethical, flat out crooks. Buyer beware!Desired Settlement: Refund both cancelled warranties as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Review: On Monday June **,2013 I visited the dealership to purchase a car. I left a 400.00 deposit down on a 2013 Pssatt with the idea that my money is fully refundable. I never got anything in writing to explain or codify the refund policy. Several hours later that day I called the dealership and told them that I wanted to have my money refunded and I spoke to [redacted] and left a message for [redacted] that I needed my refund back. I wasn't buying the car. I call again on Tues. 6/**/2013. Then again I called a second time and the salesmanager said my deposit would be in my account on Friday 6/**. That didn't happen; My father [redacted] spoke to someone on Friday 6/** who said the Monday would be in my account on Monday 6/**/13. This is a situation where the customer had no idea because of a lack of commuminication and a writing informational agreement. The business needed to inform their customer propery before they take and keeep a customers money. The my father was spoken to over the phone on Friday 6/**/13 was aslo disgraceful.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

A credit to the customer's account was issued on 6/**/13- please find attached document supporting this.

Review: VW offered a $200 gift card for taking a test drive. I came in to VW of Huntington in Dec. The salesman acknowledges that I was there and that he took my offer mailing and put me in the system. Now there is no record of me in the system (even though the salesman and the [redacted] acknowledge that I was there and handed the salesman the card). So the [redacted] is now offering to make good IF I buy a car from him. TYPICAL BAIT AND SWITCH. Got me to come in and now will only give me what was offered if I buy a car from him. Unethical and I think illegal.Desired Settlement: A $200 gift card. What was offered.

Review: On Saturday July **, 2015 , I applied to lease a 2015 VW Tiguan and gave a $500 deposit to the salesman Dennis C[redacted].

The lease application was denied due to my poor credit. The vehicle cash purchase agreement clearly states that the $ 500 is fully refundable until all of the credit terms are presented to me and accepted.

Of course this never happened since my credit application was denied.

I still have not received a credit for the $ 500 deposit that I gave you on Saturday July **, 2015.

I was in the dealership on Monday July ** and Eddie in Finance said the credit would be issued to my credit card but it has not yet hit my account.

My goal is to clean up my credit in order to purchase a new vehicle at year end, but the longer it takes to receive my refund makes it less likely to return to VW of Huntington.Desired Settlement: Refund of my $500 deposit
