Review: My car was towed on Friday and release paperwork was faxed at 3:30 for the car release. I was told I could not pick up the vehicle until Monday. When I did go to pick it up, I was told I waould have to pay for 4 days of holding my vehicle or else they wouldn't release my car. I was forced to pay for them to withhold my vehicle from me.Desired Settlement: I feel that I should only pay for the 1 day, which was $45 per day. The total I paid was $255. The total that should have been paid was $120. I am asking for the refund of $135 for the difference.

Response:
Date: 1/3/14 Subject: ReleaseOffice Mgr received call from [redacted] on Friday 12/27/13 to put the account on Redemption Hold. My pick up times are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. I did not receive the release by the end of our business day which is 5:00 pm. I am not allowed to release the vehicle to the debtor without the written release from the bank. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. When I came into work on Monday morning 12/30/13, the release was here. I spoke to [redacted] and set an appointment time of 11:00 am to pick up his 2011 [redacted], He did not get here till 11:25 am. He paid the fee's, signed the release and left. The release was faxed from California which is 3 hours behind us in Pennsylvania. So we did not receive the faxed release till 6:30 pm Pennsylvania time which was after hours on Friday 12/27/13. We were closed at that time.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was forced to pay for days in which I could have picked up my vehicle. Why should I have to pay for days that I was forced to keep my vehicle there. In addition, even if I was forced to pay for the weekend days, why should I have been forced to pay for the 4th day when it was only there for 2 hours. I called at 9 AM like I was instructed to do but the business "couple not find my fax" at that time. The earliest I was allowed to pick it up was at 11. Even if the vehicle was towed at 11, the car would have been in their possession for a total of 72 hours but the business is charging me for 96 hours.
