Dear C***, We attempted to contact you today to discuss this matter further and left a detailed voicemail message. Per my message, we have refunded you for all dollars that our company charged you for our product. You should see those refunds in your bank account between one and four
days, it just depends how your bank processes themPer our voicemail, we have much more than a “fantasy membership”. It appears that you, or someone with all of your personal information, signed up for Public Data Check on November 26th, at 4:13pm (PST). Upon signup, one must input lots of personal information (address, name, email, phone number, etc) and also their credit card information to complete enrollment. For protection, we will not initiate a membership until the customer has finalized all payment information and checked a box confirming that they understand the terms and conditions of our membership and the fact that we charge monthly for our product if a member doesn’t cancel. We also emailed all of this information to the email you provided, c***@aol.com to ensure that you understood the terms of our membership. I’m not sure if it will help remind you, but most people sign up for our membership to perform a background check on someone they know (or on themself) and then we offer many additional benefits for the member that decides to remain with our service. Dear Y[redacted], I contacted you to discuss your complaint and left you a voice message. We apologize that you felt that our advertising was misleading. Our ads only advertise a free search to determine if the person that you are looking for is in our database; we do this so that people...
don’t have to spend $2 to find out that the person that they want information on is not on our site. We would love to offer more of our services for free but it’s very costly for us to provide our data so that’s not possible. As I said on the message I left, I am happy to issue you a free month of service so that you can see and test all of the benefits that we offer.
