[redacted] **Vision City of Lake Worth [redacted] ,This letter is in response to a complaint by [redacted] [redacted] came into our office on 07/22/for an eye examination [redacted] had medical based chief complaints for the reason of her examination She was told prior to seeing the doctor that this would not be covered under her routine vision benefits and that since she had not met her deductible on her medical plan, that her examination would be out of pocket and would be $ [redacted] said OK and proceeded with the examinationWhile our staff was doing her preliminary workup prior to seeing the doctor, she was again told that the examination would be out of pocketAfter receiving her examination and the staff was going over her out of pocket expenses, she questioned the price of examinationMy staff reminded her that we told her ahead of time what she would be responsible for after the examination.She paid for her examination, but then disputed the charges with her credit card companyThe credit card company investigated the matter and ruled in our favor[redacted] received a comprehensive eye examination and her prescription [redacted] has also received her contact lensesVision City of Lake Worth does not issue refundsProfessional fees, including contact lens exams are not exchangeableThis notice is posted in our office, it is on all receipts, and [redacted] acknowledged this when she singed the contact lens agreement prior to paying for her examination and contacts on 7/22/Thank you [redacted] Please see attached

I am rejecting this response because: it is a lie. I went in too this business for a routine contact exam. I had no complaints and multiple time during the exam told the staff and doctor that I only wanted a contact exam. It was not until AFTER the visit was completed that I was handed a bill for a medical exam and immediately I questioned it and said that I did not ask for it.

She was told prior to seeing the doctor that this would not be covered under her routine vision benefits and that since she had not met her deductible on her medical plan, that her examination would be out of pocket and would be $125.00. [redacted] said OK and proceeded with the examination. While our staff was doing her preliminary workup prior to seeing the doctor, she was again told that the examination would be out of pocket. After receiving her examination and the staff was going over her out of pocket expenses, she questioned the price of examination. My staff reminded her that we told her ahead of time what she would be responsible for after the examination.She paid for her examination, but then disputed the charges with her credit card company.
