I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter will be resolved when I get the check for $524.92.

Review: I am not sure service issues is right. I won a trip to Disneyland Ca. The sponsor was Disney Online [redacted].. The Independent Judging Organization was Ventura Associates as listed in the complaint. Included was the airfare, stay at [redacted] Limo service to and from airport, a 1000.00 Disney gift card and a 500.00 spa card.
Everything went well except the spa card. My niece and I enjoyed the spa and bought some products they were selling which brought the bill to 524.92 I gave them the 500.00 gift card and my credit card for the balance of 24.92. I was called by the spa manager Marco P[redacted] and he said the certificate was fraudulent and I would be charged the 524.92 on my credit card. The spa is the [redacted] at [redacted] I called my contact person at Ventura: Betty W[redacted] and she said she would take care of it. She told me latter it was taken care of. I was in contact with her many times when she said it was between the spa and the company who issued the certificate.. The certificate was issued by [redacted] ###-###-#### is the only info. I have on them.Between July [redacted] till now I had talked/e-mailed MS W[redacted] and contacted my credit card co to dispute the amt. I got a letter stating they are siding with the spa and the 524.92 plus interest will be applied to my account. According to Mr. P[redacted] from the spa there was a hold on the gift card because the credit card used by Ventura Associates to purchase it was a fraudulent card. A contact person according to my letter for [redacted] is Melizabeth W[redacted]. According to my letter Ms W[redacted] told Mr P[redacted] that her boss Al W[redacted] had made the purchase but was not sure if he used the business or his personal credit card.Desired Settlement: I just want the $524.92 plus the interest taken off my credit card.

Response:
I have spoken with both the [redacted] in Anaheim and the issuer of the original gift card, [redacted] in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The [redacted] told me they tried to resolve the issue with [redacted], but were told that the original gift card was canceled, supposedly due to a fraud issue. The spa recommended I contact [redacted] directly, which I did. I spoke with a senior spa consultant named Nikki on 9/**/15, who was familiar with the issue. She claimed the card was ordered with a fraudulent card, which is why the gift card was canceled. I informed her the card was good, having placed the order personally and never having received any notification otherwise. My American Express account was charged on 7/*/2015. She said she would investigate further and follow up with me, and, if a credit was due me, would notify me. I checked my account this morning and saw a credit of $500 dated 9/**/15, although I received no follow-up message from Nikki about the issue. I am waiting on an explanation from [redacted] as to why: 1) the card was deemed fraudulent in their opinion, as neither the card issuer nor I was notified; and 2) it took them over twelve weeks to issue the credit to my account. In the meantime, we will send [redacted] a check for $524.92, representing the original $500.00 value of the gift card she won, plus the extra amount she would have paid out of pocket for additional expenses. We are sorry she was inconvenienced, and appreciate her keeping us apprised of her dissatisfaction so that we could resolve the situation for both her and our benefit.
