WE paid him $to finish the finish work in our basementSo sanding and mudding painting of the doors, trim, ceilings and wallsThis was the worst job everWe have over $in work to be doneHe did finsih the molding in the bathroom, major gaps with molding, doors not opening correctly, paint is horrible and the doors are like rough sand paperThe bunk bed my husband built needed stairs finished and shiplap which the walls look great but the stairs are not finished some are missing nails so the boards come right outThe ceiling are so rough and lines all over that he was going to fish and it is worseCaulking that was suppose to get done my spouse had to doThere are many issues with the work that we got ripped offHe stated he would be over and I have heard nothing nor any refundsThe cost was labor only we paid for all the materials, even for paints brushes and rollers ( have receipts for it all)He never worked a full day and always promised how great it would lookI was so upset that my wife paid the guy cause now we are out all the money, when a contractor stated he could of done it for less including materials since it was just the finish work
I hired Donnie to remodel my basementI didn't like the way he talked down to me when I would ask him questions about the jobhe stated the job was finished but I had several people look at it and stated I shouldn't have paid him because its not donethere are several places in my walls that are not ready to be painted as he stated, all the electrical outlet holes are too big for the covers, the holes for the vents are too big as well, Donnie framed in my water heater and furnace and told me I needed to have vented doors to be up to codeHe didn't install vented doors for the water heater and furnaceHe installed a vanity and toilet which was never caulked and the vanity was never anchored to wall the plumbing for the vanity is leaking he also installed flooring that has gaps in themthe molding around the doors for the water heater and furnace is a joke they are sticking out and all he told me is to caulk them, most everything he did is not levelHe tore out a wall that had n
Donnie M*** claims to be licensed and insuredIt says that he is licensed and insured on his business cards, his invoice, even his truckAfter he completed most of the work he was hired to do, we saw that there were MANY issues and code violations, which was confirmed by the city inspectorWhen we reached out to address these concerns with Donnie, he was less than helpfulHe didn't take any responsibility and kept deflecting the issues onto my husband and I, as if it was our fault he for got to complete work we paid him for, even after bringing the mistake to his attention, or that it was our responsibility to file permits with the city, which is completely untrueAfter requesting his license number, he refused saying that he "wasn't going to do our homework for us"We thoroughly checked with DOPL, and they have no record of a license for Donnie M***, or D&M Construction, Design, and Repair, although he did have a Handyman Registration that expired in He completed work
I paid Donnie M*** August 26th as a contractor for home remodeling in advance for the job to be doneafter many attempts to contact him he left the job half done, I have attempted to reach him to complete the job or a refund today is September 29th and the job is still not done, the last time I have heard from him was 9/19/and he led me to believe he had no intentions of coming to finish for at least another week, so I hired someone else to finish the projectI have texted him on sept 22nd and asked to please refund some of my money and get in invoice for what he has done and still ave no responseThe job was for new flooring, paint living room hallway and stairway, and repair side light he did paint the living room the hall way and stairway and repaired half of the side lightIt was going to be $for supplies up front the only supply he purchased was the paintWas in my home for a total hoursI have the documented days and times he was hereI also have pictures
