V&V Painting Reviews (1)

Review: The painter took $750 deposit for materials. When questioned about the materials, whereabouts, and usage of said materials (paint), started yelling, threatening, and then walked off the job.

No refund has been received. In four appearances, rarely lasting two hours, and late for every scheduled work day, barely one day of work had been accomplished, and two gallons of paint used.

I grew concerned. I know from experience that between 10-15 gallons are used for two coats on a house, and garage. When I asked when the second coat would be, I was told that both coats were done at the same time.

I asked how many gallons are being used, and where the rest of my materials that I'd paid $750 cash for, [redacted] flew into a rage, threatened me, told me he was the professional, and that I should just keep my mouth shut.

"Nobody tells me what to do, I'm the professional."Desired Settlement: I feel that [redacted] and V&V painting should return my money, minus $250 for barely 8 hours of total work (which is more than generous).

I had an estimate from three other painters on how much work had been actually accomplished, and they all agreed it was less than one full day.

I took a picture of how much paint had been used.

So I think it is more than fair. In total: a $500 refund is all that I seek.

It really should be a full refund because none of the proposed work was completed.

When you give a contractor $750 deposit for materials usually the materials are kept at the job site.

And they shouldn't be using a tired old roller, paint brushes that are obviously ancient, and going around with a coffee can.

$750 should buy new rollers, new brushes, and at least 15 gallons of paint.
