Yes, we would certainly provide you the facts and information from our stand point. We are the sellers.
I have attached a letter that was sent to the customer upon her contacting us on 112214. It shows an outline of communication and correspondence between the customer and us, the seller, during this transaction. You can see there are large gaps of time between communications.
We have more than assisted and accomodated this customer in this transaction. We do have business terms that are clearly stated and listed in each of our internet listings. The customer was fully aware of the terms and that she would need to arrange shipping and was repsonsible for the cost. It was only later in the transaction that customer changed her story.
The customer willingly made an offer of $599.99 on the workbench which we accepted. She paid in two installments. As you can see in our correspondance below, we made several agreements with the customer to assist her in layaway, transportation of the item, storage and relisting.
The storage unit in which the workbench was located was being down sized and eliminated. There was no communication from the customer for over 6 months since last contact.. No response from attempts at communication. As a result, the workbench was considered abandoned and sold at auction. The realized auction value at that day and time was $90. We have sent the customer the refund of $90. That is sale price realized at auction which is wholesale.
Due to lack of communication from the customer and length of time between communications, the item was considered abandoned after the second 6 months of storage was completed.
We have incurred costs of maintaining the workbench for safe keeping.We paid monthly storage, cost of loading onto the trailer and unloading, auction commission and our time and labor involved.It is sad and unfortunate that the customer was not able to complete this transaction. We have business terms and condition of sale and they are clearly listed. The customer was fully aware and in agreement by submitting the offer. We believe the customer had some unfortunate circumstances and felt buyers remorse after a period of time and now is demanding a full refund.The customer has changed her story along the way as you can also see in the correspondance below. We have assisted the customer in every way in this transaction. We feel that the customer is unreasonable in demanding a full refund in this transaction. She has taken no responsibility in taking full pocession of the workbench and we, the seller, have incurred costs in maintaining this item for over a year.
The customer was fully aware of the business terms when she submitted her bid.
The customer had ample time to arrange for shipping/pickup. The customer had lack of communication with the seller with her situation and plans. The customer was contacted by us in regards to needing to have the workbench picked up. The workbench was considered abandoned after a period of time. There was no communication and, sales agreement terminated. We disposed of the property as seen fit.
