We purchased RCI Pure Points on 12/6/and were told our membership would be confirmed in 6-weeks After weeks I requested cancellation since they had not performed their part of the contract I have called and e-mailed weekly since then requesting a refund of the purchase price Have been told the membership has been cancelled but no refund has been made

After having been scammed and fleeced out of a great deal of money by Timeshare Lawyers P.Ain order to cancel my timeshare and release the ‘perpetuity clause’ in my contract, I contacted Dan Vacation Owner's Consulting Group and found a person who could relate to my situation He gave me advice over the phone, by email and in person He understood that I was skeptical due to my previous bad experience and money outlay, so he worked with me to find a comfort level for me to work with his firm While I was in the office he contacted Jon at the Lakeside Closing Services on the phone to introduce me to the firm who would be handling the paperwork for me He was always available for questions and to re-explain the process to me and to allay any insecurity I might have I appreciated his availability, clarity and expertise about the process of transferring the timeshare deed out of my name I heartily recommend this company as they exceeded my expectation in working with me They did in less than days what the fraudulent company, Timeshare Lawyers P.A., did not do in months

Timeshare sellersRepresented themselves as your friendAnd then dismiss you if your credit is not good enough for them to make big bucks off of youDisappointedThey lied to meThey checked my credit score without my permissionThey evaluated me not as trying to help meThey value with me as to what money they can make off of me
Someone needs to investigate themI will also be filing a complaint with the Federal Bureau of InvestigationThese guys are CrooksThey bring you in on pretenses so they want to help you and then literally throw you out if you don't qualify to do what they would have done

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** *** To start, *** did not offer me a refund of $300, the last time he would talk to me, he said he would check and see how much I owed them, he would never accept my calls or return my e-mails after thatand they did not get me out of the Time Share, it the Time Share Coturned me over for collection, after Vacation Owners Group, advised me to stop paying on it Which I did, and then had to deal with a collection agency They told me not to talk to the collection agency Well after some months, I decided to see what the collection company had to say The Time Share company was not going to let me out of the contract I asked them to see, if I paid them $3000, which was less than I owed them, would the Time Share company release me from my contract They did All the other company did was write two letters, for me to sign, and forward to the Time Share Company, telling them why they should release me from their contract, the last one, which the Time Share company refused to accept, was returned to me For this, they want to charge me $ I could have had attorney do the same for about $ So to say they got me out of the contract is incorrect I paid the Time Share company in full and was released from my contract. Now as for *** offering me $300, that is a lieas I explained above, he would not accept my calls or answer my e-mails once I told him I want my money back And he was not clear when I first talked to him, as to what he was using my money toward I had told him, I heard you can't get out of a Time Share, he said he got people out of them everyday Which may be true in some cases, but not in mine I am a yrold widow and still working, so I can live comfortable, I don't have extra money to throw away I gave him $and $to the Time Share Company, that takes me about months to makes, to me that is a lot of money to throw away So where do I go from here.*** ***

This client has been confused during this processThe $was not for our pure points programShe was working with *** (help for timeshare owners) to remove her ownership, which they didShe sent an e mail that she was very happy with their serviceI also received an e mail from
Mr*** from *** that her case was completed 100%VOCG paid *** $our cost to them for them to complete the serviceThe balance of $was a deposit on the pure points if the client wanted to pursue that after her cancellation of timeshareShe did not, we offered the $refund and it was not acceptedWe will gladly send that to her, VOCG made not not penny on this clientIf any one has questions on this, you can verify again through ***

Review: On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, we contracted with Vacation Owners Consulting Group (VOCG) to purchase a membership with Florida Vacation Villas Club (FVVC). There was a three-business-day cancellation period, which (because of the weekend) ended on Monday, June 23, 2014. In order to cancel, we had to send notice of cancellation by certified mail to FVVC by the third business day. Our American Express card was charged the full purchase price of $7,300 on Friday, June 20th. We decided to cancel within the three-business-day period and sent our cancellation notice on Saturday, June 21st, via certified mail, per the contract provision, to FVVC.

Using their website, we notified VOCG of our cancellation and requested a refund on June 23rd, June 24th, July 7th, and July 9th. Their automated system acknowledged receipt of our communications. Not only have they not issued a refund, they have not even responded to any of our four communications.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of our contract and full refund of the amount charged to our American Express card.

Response:

On Thursday July the 3rd I spoke with Amex via phone and told them to give a 100% refund to [redacted]. Amex called me and told me of the decision to cancel that's when I told them no problem refund all money. Amex also said they would send follow up documentation which I haven't yet received. On [redacted]'s call to our phone system we never received any call from him at Vacation Owners Consulting Group. We have all the phone logs to show his call was never made to our office. I hope this resolves the situation. Any other info needed please let us know.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution satisfactory to me. (They indicated that I had called, when my information clearly, I thought, said that I had emailed them through their website, and that their automated system had emailed me back acknowledging receipt.)

Yesterday, July 16th, I received an email from American Express indicating they had in fact been authorized on July 3rd to issue the refund. They still have not done so, and I will follow-up with them. I'm sorry I indicated VOCG was remiss, when in fact it has been American Express.
