Review: I brought my car into Upper Marlboro Ford to get an oil change the day before Thanksgiving. I mentioned to the service worker that I wanted the "works package" and I also mentioned to the same service worker that my car was making a funny noise when making a left. He had me sign a paper, took my keys and I then went to the lounge to sit. About an hour later, that same service worker approached me to tell me what the issue was and the cost of the repair. He also mentioned that it would take 2 hours to have the work completed. I mentioned to him that I would not have the time today to complete, however, I could bring my car back on Friday. Once my car was ready, the service worker approached me in the lounge. As I was walking back with him to the counter to check out, he says to me that my total today is $141. I questioned the cost. That is when he mentions the $99 diagnostic fee. I said to the service worker that I was never told of a $99 diagnostic fee. He quickly turned towards me, with a tone of voice that was full of attitude, and said that he informed me in the beginning when I told him of the issue. I quickly replied to him that he did not. He then pointed to the black $99 diagnostic fee that was written in below where I signed my name. I replied to him that that was not written there when I signed. I even went on to express to him that if I knew there was a $99 diagnostic fee I wouldn't have had it looked at. About an hour later I called and spoke with the service manager. Big mistake! That service manager could have cared less to hear what I had to say. All he did was defend his service worker and pretty much call me a liar in many words. He stated that all of his service workers ALWAYS inform the customer of the $99 diagnostic fee. Since then, I have been contacted by Upper Marlboro Ford once by email and twice by phone regarding my visit and the hopes that I will give a positive survey response to a survey I will receive in the future from Ford Headquarters.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded back the diagnostic fee that they charged me.
