University Lock & Security Reviews (7)

My company has done business with ULS for the last eight years. We have found that they are always very helpful in solving any of our lock and security needs. [redacted] is a wealth of knowledge and can take care of any challenges we present to her.

I have always had a good experience with [redacted] and his team. We have an in depth surveillance system that was installed and maintained by ULS, on the rare occasions that there have been issues with the system, they were out very quickly to resolve the problems. In my experience they go above and beyond and would recommend them to anyone.

Brought [redacted] some old school datsun 510 locks and ignition switch that need new keys cause they were missing. In the mix of lock cylinders there was a "dummy" door lock. It had the guts removed so any key or screw driver would rotate it freely. I went to pick the stuff up a week later after I called to see if it was done, it was. Apparently they don't notify customers when the job is finished. So first thing I noticed is the ignition lock works, but the steering column lock does not come out of ignition switch when key is pulled out like it should. She tells me that she doesn't know why its doing that and offers me half off the price of re key for ignition lock..cool thanks. Than Iget home to find out that the door "dummy" lock is still a dummy lock no tumblers were installed and any key will operate it (still). But she did put a new stainless cap on it and charged me for re key when it was still hollowed out. I pulled it apart and inspected and there were no tumblers or anything in the lock. That is some crocked [redacted]. Than I decide to take ignition lock apart and see why the steering lock is inop. Come to find out she clocked the tail piece wrong on tumbler which caused the malfunction. So I did a 180 rotation and all is good now. I have zero years experince as a locksmith, but doesn't mean I am a dumb [redacted] and cant understand shady business practice. I want a refund

I had a problem with my alarm system and tryied to reach the "on call " technician from university lock and security and did not recieve a call back. I had to wait more than 24 hours and call the company on monday morning to get to speak with someone.
