We have already issued Ms. [redacted] a refund.  This complaint has been resolved.

Mr. [redacted] updated in an e mail on 3-31-2014 that says:Good Evening:I...

have been reviewing the complaint and responses received from UW Solutions and 2 Apply. My wife has her name on our mortgage, she signed papers with UW and 2 Apply, and helped pay them the monthly fees.  To say she is not or was not a customer is not sitting lightly with me.   True, I took most of the phone calls, but that is out of convenience, not that we were not both customers and on the account.I am [redacted], her husband, and would like to give more info, and answer Mr [redacted]'s response.1.  We were behind in our mortgage, trying to get a work out with the Mortgage Company, who would not use e mail, or faxes, or anything but a phone call, but NEVER was able to let us speak to the "case manager", and would have us leave a voice mail.  The Case Manager would be given times and a phone number to call back when we were available.  BUT never called at those times.  We would have loved to get things corrected, but were unable to work with them.   They are now out of business I understand.  Homeward was their name.  although it changed often.2.  2 Apply [redacted] (wrong spelling I thing) called us unsolicited and said we qualified, they could help, and "promised" to stop foreclosure if it occured (and they did).  Stop or erase the late fees, and get us a new company with a much lower percentage rate, and lower our payment to near half.3.  We were assigned to [redacted] (also probably the wrong spelling) and started the long process of paperwork.  And got us involved with a 599 down payment and 500 a month until the process was complete.  (was supposed to be 3-5 months).  Was a lot longer!   [redacted] had some family medical issues, and we worked with a variety of people, until [redacted] was assigned (sorry, never could get the last name straight in my head, and am not at home with all my records).   She came at the end and was not quite as helpful, but she also was trying to complete something she didn't start.  [redacted] was very good at getting papers back and forth, but in the transition, we had a document lost in that time frame, and found out the new company for our mortgage, Ocwen,  was mailing it UW and they were not sending it on, or able to find it.  This was a snag of nearly a month in getting things final.4.  Near the end when the terms of new mortgage came.   We found very little saving (and it has increased twice now, to where we are at 75.00 less than before UW HELPED!), and UW still wanted 500 a month for another 2-3 months of the Trail period.   This may be where MR [redacted] got his, [redacted] was very happy with us.   After complaining to [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted], they all promised to take to their supervisors, and try to put a little leverage on Ocwen to make it not only more affordable, but a more permanent solution with a slightly lower rate, everyone stopped calling us back or having any info all of a sudden.  Mr [redacted] did lower the payment to around 250, and then one month free, but no attempt to lower interest, or any refund for not a completely successful workout.5.  [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] were all very aware that I was happy with them lowering the last few payments, and returning calls in a timely manner, and taking the fees around my paychecks.  BUT they should all admit that I told them I was not completely satisfied with the final payments, interest, fees etc.   6.  To make matters even worse, after the not very professional remarks to you from Mr [redacted].  Tonight I get an unsolicited call from 2 Apply trying to sign me up for help from their company.   And when I asked questions, the solicitor wanted me to know that "You never really qualified for our services", and I am not sure why you were in the program.   I asked him to pass along to 2 Apply and UW Solutions that I was not happy they were calling, after taking all that money from me, and not even knowing they had already signed me up.. I also asked him to pass along to Mr [redacted] that I was not happy with his response to the Revdex.com, and that since I was the customer of his record, I would be following up with the Revdex.com to continue our complaint.Thank you for your time.  Contact me with any questions you may have.[redacted]

Mrs. [redacted] was never a client of ours.  We worked with her husband [redacted] who was very happy and appreciative about the process and the service he received.

Mr. [redacted] canceled service in the middle of the process.  According to the agreement he made, fees paid are non-refundable.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

UW Needs to refer to our original complaint this is what is our bases for this refund we are owed, again if your doing a HARP, you don't have the client stop making the mortgage payment, and start paying you, and 8mos. in you people were saying that we still needed paperwork which you all ready had, we have every correspondence since the beginning of this process, and have contacted a attorney and we will file if this in not resolved through the Revdex.com. [redacted] 89yo & [redacted]her [redacted] 88yo

Mr. [redacted] submitted a fax to cancel services on 12/17/13.  I personally called Mr. [redacted] regarding his request on the same day.  He requested for me to call [redacted], as she was the best person to discuss this with.  I left a message for [redacted] on the provided phone number on the...

same day.  I did not hear back from [redacted] at that time.  I called Mr. [redacted] today to discuss things further.  Mr. [redacted] was not open to discussions and ended up hanging up on me, despite my polite and reasonable approach.

As Mr. [redacted] mentioned in his complaint, we spoke with him yesterday and are reviewing his request.

This is not true it was already 8mos into this Scam, If UW inform persons to stop making the monthly mortgage payment in order to be able to do a loan modify, And also talking to the mortgage company myself after the fact, UW was very misleading and were only a scam and due to the untimely deaths of our older son and daughter we were scammed by a company looking to take advantage of a couple mourning the deaths of our older children, and how they figure their entitled our our retirement monies that just not right.

Regards,

[redacted]After 7 months and 3 processors I expressed my concerns to manager  [redacted] in November of 2013 .Before I sent a fax cutting ties with UW Solutions  and requesting a refund for services not rendered in December

of 2013.    He assured me that once he assigned a fourth processor  there would be no problem, after November fee was withdrawn from the account the same letter arrived in mail requesting the same information that was previously sent, this information was also sent on November 26th 2013 Certified mail which was requesting a signature upon arrival and it was signed for.  Another letter was sent in December requesting the same information again after the withdrawal funds from the bank account. After being assured that the matter would be taken care I see no resolutions in this. I'm fighting to keep my home out of foreclosure while they are asking for the same information. They have received over 2000.00 for services that they did not render and no one again calls to let you know the status of this so called modification they just want to argue about the funds being available in your account.

Regards,

U W solutions is a company that should be a red flag to consumers they practice unethical business standards  charging documents fees when other companies don't charging  299.00 a so called post montoring fee that's unexplainable stated on their form and the best defense they after scamming elderly consumers out of their money for over 7 months is that the consumer cancelled in the middle of the service. This company never had any contact with the mortgage  lender. They never even heard of  UW solutions, Uw solutions could have easily tried to communicate with the lender about the rate they were offering, they did a swindle and caused a foreclose. I see no resolution with this company because the law protects them to take advantage of consumers

Mr. [redacted] discontinued service in the middle of the service.  However, they were still able to obtain a modification through the work that we...

provided as Mr. [redacted] stated in his complaint.

We have already issued Ms. [redacted] a refund.  This complaint has been resolved.

Due to the complexity of Mr. [redacted]'s file it did take a longer than average period of time.  However, UW Solutions worked diligently on Mr. [redacted]'s file throughout this time.  As Mr. [redacted] stated, through UW Solutions efforts, he was ultimately able to obtain a loan modification.

Review: 1. They had me sign a contract for 3 months, but kept charging me

2. They made me sign another open ended contract to continue serving me and said clearly that it would NOT take a year. It took a year.

3. They told me they would assist me through the modification process to lower my interest and monthly rate. They did neither of these things.

4. The monthly payment went up instead of down near the $1500 that they said they could do.

5. The interest rate went up.

6. They promised to make my payment affordable, and they didn't. They payment went up.

7. They offered to have me pay 3 more months so that they could monitor the probationary process, to gain me a lower interest rate. I told them they should offer it free for all the hassle I was put through and dissatisfaction. They came back with one more payment and they would give me 3 more months. I was not interested.

8. I asked for supervisors and they said that they really didn't have a boss, to were I learned that they ultimately did, but would answer the question and they kept talking about both sides of their mouths trying to get me to track away from my request.

9. Ultimately I asked them for a supervisor on "what terms". I listed: 1. Dissatisfaction of not getting what I paid for. 2. Not getting a lower interest. 3. Not getting a lower payment. 4. Not knowing what my modification payment interest was. 5. Not knowing what my modification payment was. 6. Refusing my reasonable request for a supervisor. They promised to get back to me by the end of the week. 12-18-13 is the date today. We'll see.

10. This is a bait and switch outfit. They don't deliver on what they say they do. It's a "kin" to swindle for sure, if not fully a swindle outfit.

11. Talking to them you will get the sense that they are not an up and up company.Desired Settlement: Either OR of the following!

1. Get me the 2% interest rate for the home affordable program (that I got on my other modification for my investment home)

2. Get me 40 year term loan that I got on my other modification on my investment home.

3. Get the payment near $1500 (or lower) as promised and that I got on my other modification on my investment home.

4. Fight to straighten out the error of escrow from [redacted] w/ [redacted]

5. Fight to straighten out that the first time I modified with [redacted] that they didn't fulfill the obligation of making my home affordable and that this time should NOT be a second time doing a modification but a continuance of the first time.

OR

Refund me the money for the whole things, almost $6000 to hold my hand during this modification process.
