I just got off of the phone with a person who identified himself as the owner. My situation is very unique, as are my living arrangements. "The owner", was very argumentative. I understand that all I's must be dotted and T's crossed, but it got to the point of being sarcastic.
The problem is is that I do not pay rent nor a mortgage. The loan was in my ex's name, and still is as far as I know and he pays the mortgage. My ex Quit Claim deed the house to me several years ago. My name is solely on the deed, his is on the loan. We do not communicate. So when the "owner" asked if he could contact him I said no, because I do not involve him in my affairs; no will he accept a call from anyone with a 317 area code and if he did he will not answer a question. At that point the conversation went down hill. I asked if there was any other way that we could verify information and he said no; but wanted to speak to my ex.
Then he began to question why was I not riding in a car, if other banks allow for other forms of verification.
