Two Men and A Truck Reviews (%countItem)

On or about September 5, 2019 while in the process of packing, "Marvin" tried to take apart my computer desk. He loosened the connecting screws to the desk. He then removed the two drawers in the lower right side of the desk. Having loosened the connecting screws and removing the two drawers, the desk became instable and began to separate. The desk was then too far apart from the sides to put back the two drawers.
To this day, the desk is unusable because the separation of the sides is too great to restore the desk and drawers to their original places.
"Brody" the responsible party at "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK" FOR "Damages and Settlements" has NOT responded to many, very many, very, very many phone calls regarding this matter. "Brody" is only reachable by "voicemail" and cannot be contacted by direct telephone calls!

I ask you, WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS?

NOW I WANT MY COMPUTER DESK RESTORED TO IT'S ORIGINAL FUNCTIONING STATE OR A FULL AND COMPLETE REPLACEMENT FOR DESK OF MY CHOOSING!

Sincerely,

*** Customer

Our customer opened a claim with us early September for a glass table top and a staircase damage at her move from location. We resolved those concerns. A couple weeks later *** reached back out to me to explain they had found some drawer damage to a desk. We ask our customer for some photos. Our did say they do not have access to their email currently so we provided a cell phone number. We then went back and forth leaving each other voicemails. In those voicemails we explained that I needed some photos of the damage and will start the process for the desk drawer to file a claim.

We did contact the customer this morning and they answered. The customer had not sent any photos because she never saw the emails come through so she did not know who to send them to. We confirmed her email address and it was in fact the same email we had on file. We are now in the process of receiving those photos and resolving the claim.

The timing was off when we are playing phone tag and I understand this can be aggravating. We certainly want to provide a resolution in a timely manner.

Hired company to move us. After long day, they moved a refrigerator from garage into kitchen. Refrigerator had a dent previously on it, but would be covered by handle so not an issue. Refrigerator was moved and we signed off on paperwork that refrigerator had dent we were aware of. However, upon entering the kitchen after they left, there were two sizeable dents at top right hand side of refrigerator that were not there beforehand. We have called the company twice. First time they took a message and said they would call us back. They did not, so we called again and our call was not answered. Filed a report with their corporate office who said the manger, Mr. Daniel D had sent us a letter dated Friday, Sept. 21st with his decision. Not sure how he came to a decision since he did not speak with us. However, we have not received any letter from him either. The three employees that moved us were very kind and thorough. If a slip happened, we were not made aware of. We went so far as to tip each of the gentlemen.

To Whom it May Concern,

An investigation was completed and the damage to the refrigerator in question could not be proven to be damaged by our moving team. The damage in question to the fridge door was addressed and signed off by the client on the day of the move as "previous damage".

The doors were removed and put back on the fridge while the client was onsite. We completed a walk through once the service was complete and the proper paperwork was completed post service.

Based on our investigation TWO MEN AND A TRUCK will not be responsible for the damage claims to the fridge doors.

We hired Two men and a truck to move us from our condo to our new home. We were given an estimated quote of 6 hours on the phone that it would take to move us. We knew that was just a quote. When they arrived they looked a everything that we had to move and felt it could be done in 6 hours. 3 hours into the move and loading the truck they felt it was going to take 8 hours. They wrap every piece of furniture which we were not told on the phone but we still did not think it would take too long. After 6 hours of loading the truck when they tried to start the truck it would not start. They called dispatch and the problem was resolved. They arrived at our new home and it was already taking way longer than we thought. When they arrived we started helping them because we wanted to get it done. The entire reason we hired movers so we would not have to do the work. When they brought in 2 desks they had been damaged which we did file a report about. It wound up taking about 10-11 hours even though they cut the time off at 8. If we had not helped them it would have been 12 hours. This was not a pleasant experience. The two young men who did all of the work were hard working and very pleasant but this just took too long. We received a call on Monday from someone at two men and a truck to ask about our experience and we let them know it was not a good experience. The person on the phone was quite put off that we were unhappy with their service and pointed out that we got 2 hours of free labor. It took from 8:45 am to 6:45 pm. It would have been way longer if we had not helped we just wanted to get done. The person on the phone was not about customer service at all. The resolution we feel is appropriate is a partial refund and compensation for the damaged furniture

We apologize for the less than excellent experience, this is not how TWO MEN AND A TRUCK operates as a business.

We have tried reaching out several times to discuss these concerns so we can address the service that was provided as well as the damages that occurred on move day. The service took place on 4/08/18 and our claims manager (*** reached out on 4/10 requesting pictures of the damage claims. followed up on 4/12 by email and called to leave a VM. *** emailed again on 4/15 with no response. Here is where things went wrong, the email address was incorrect. *** was emailing *** he should have been emailing ***

Since this mistake *** has emailed the right email address and has left a few VM without a return phone call. I just spoke to *** today and he just called and left another VM. The contact phone number he called was . We are willing to work through these concerns and get the ball rolling on resolving the damage claims.

Customer Response • Apr 30, 2018

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me. Since the response, I have talked to ***. He was very professional and was able to refund some of the money we paid. If I was able to talk to him instead of the person who called me the next day, this never would have been reported to the Revdex.com.

Regards

When I used two men and a truck they broke the leg off my tv stand and gave me a receipt to show they took it back to repair or replace it a week ago and no calls from jimmy from the Hilliard phone very upsetting

Two Men and A Truck Response • Jan 09, 2018

I have investigated the above concerns. Our vender who is repairing the item was backed up a bit and the item took a bit longer to get repaired. One of our managers spoke to the vender and this particular customer this morning and the item will be repaired today and delivered back to the customer today. I appreciate the feedback, sounds like we had a disconnect with communication.

Movers were nice and on time. However, they refused to move TVs. Almost every single piece of hardwood or antique furniture was scratched or had pressure marks on them. When I pointed this out, they were completely disinterested. They left heavy items outside that I requested be brought into house. And I was charged $600 more than quoted. Mostly I was distressed to see precious family items and antiques damaged.

Two Men and A Truck Response

We are certainly disturbed and apologize for the less than excellent experience with our company. We strive to give the best experience for our customers and we have open lines of communication post service to resolve such concerns. I'm concerned regarding the TV concern because we do move TV's everyday for our customers, not 100% sure of the circumstances. If there were any sort of damage claims our customers have every right to file a damage claim with in 60 days of their service date. A full investigation would have been completed and we would have communicated this with a response back to the customer.
Nonetheless we still have a concerned customer and I am willing to listen and see what information I can gather to revisit any sort of dissatisfaction.
