Yes we had [redacted] gas powered bicycle for weeksThis was due to the fact that a friend of [redacted] , a man by the name of ***, was suppose to pay for the repairsUpon diagnosis of the bike we reached out to [redacted] over a months period of time to get his approval for the repair workHe never responded and after speaking with [redacted] I reluctantly agreed to go forward with the repair work without a formal approval. When [redacted] originally brought the bike in for repair we had recommended additional upgrades to prevent the chain tensioner from rattling loose and falling into the rear wheel spokes [redacted] stated he didn't not want us to provide those upgrades, just get the motor runningWe performed the motor repair serviceWe also informed [redacted] that those gas powered bikes rattle themselves apart and that he would frequently need to tighten up components so they wouldn't rattle apart during transitIt is unfortunate that he experienced issues however it is to be expected on those bikes due to their high speeds of over mph [redacted] asked for a full refund for services that we performedI refunded [redacted] $and drove him around town after I loaned him an electric bike of which he crashedWe went above and beyond expected services

I keep a dog at my shop that due to my location by the railroad tracks and all the riff raff associated with the locationMy dog is friendlyThis customer did not want to pay for the diagnostic we performedFor some reason, and he calls himself a business man, he thought labor is free.We performed a service in a timely manner and attempted to contact him about what would be involved and what it would cost but he did not respondInstead he showed up and felt he did not have to pay

I am rejecting this response because:***'s response is simply to cover himself and do not make any sense whatsoever about the dog and me not wanted to pay. As far as the dog, I'm overly vexed each time *** mentioned that the dog is a friendly; which assaults my intelligence a big dealI'm years old, well educated and I do have a college PHDI'm also very well able to identify between a friendly dog and one that is in rageThat dog was simply ready to tear me apart that day and *** wanted me to pet the filthy animal, in order to keep it quietNeedless to say, I went to the shop to get my item checked out, but not to deal with a nasty dog... When it comes to ***'s statement about "I did not want to pay" this is once again a lieI always pay for every product/services rendered to meHowever, I don't pay for anything null that has no written agreements/contractsFor instance, I had no invoice indicated ***'s hourly rate and the reason for the $chargeAlso, there's no where in his shop that mentioned anything about his $labor rate. This is America, USA and all businesses should be standardized in the level of basic customer service and human relations, in which ***'s shop do not have. That's why I persist that his shop should be closed down and put out of business. I want to make it clear that I'm hear to reinforce my rights as a customer and the basic business principle rules, but not the $I'm overly blessed as an high end IT architect and my hourly rate is $per hour I give to charity a minimum of $50,to $60,yearlySo, $is nothing to me and I mean thatSo once again, my claim in here is more about RESPECT, since it's priceless to meI promise that I will follow through and have his shop close down very soon; since I felt disrespected by both red neck *** and his untrained racist dogP.S*** has all of my contact info relating to my home address and phone number that I gave him when dropping my items offHe seems to be an outlaw type and his untrained guardian dog makes it clearThis is to say, that I will not tolerate any threats and I will call the law

I am rejecting this response because: The owner of "The Electric Bike Shop" is not showing any fragment of integrity in this matter. When my back tire was ruptured do to the incompetent repairs done on my bike. He provided a brand new set of 700 series bicycle tires as compensation and had them installed by his mechanic ([redacted]). To remove and repair the back tire, common sense dictates the fact that the rim has to come off. The chain tensioner is positioned right alongside the back tire. And it has to be re-adjusted each time to remove the back tire. I've recently start a new job at Mather Community Campus as an Intern for Volunteers of America. I've borrowed money last weekend to have the repairs made at a more reputable bicycle repair shop. The repairs are itemized and the price of $35.00 USD is clearly stipulated on the receipt/document that is provided with this particular response.

No of his response is true.

Review: The most horrific experience ever; that would take pages to explain; but Ill keep it brief.Heres the issue: I took my electric bicycle kit along with 2 48v 12ah lithium batteries to the Electric bike shop in Sacramento, Ca; since I was having some issues with the wiring diagram and needed some help. 1st) During my first visit there, I was welcomed by an overly huge size dog that almost bit me at the entrance of the shop. The owner, [redacted] found it funny, stated that the mutt was just playing, which I didnt find to be funny; since it could of caused me an heart attack. Very unprofessional.2nd) [redacted], took all of my stuff and did not give me any receipt, itemizing my parts that I left with him. I felt very uncomfortable with the idea and drove back to the shop on my way home, requested a receipt. All I got was a ticket number with no info about my items in it. Again, very unprofessional.3rd). I dropped the items on Friday afternoon and was promised a call with a status update by early Monday. Since I didnt hear from them, I had to place the call by late Monday afternoon, requested an update. I was told by [redacted] that the mechanic was sick and I should get an update by the next day (Tuesday). I didnt hear anything from them all day and both my wife and I became very suspicious, mainly due to the fact I felt a very bad vibe about [redacted]s business ethics and moral standards from the very first start.4) On Wednesday, around 10:30 AM, I decided to go to the shop, in order to redeem my stuff. Once again, the huge dog pursued after me in rage the minute I stepped foot in the front door of the shop. Good thing, the dog had a long leash that kept it from reaching me and I was fast enough to get out of the way. [redacted], was shocked to see me and came up with a lame excuse that he tried to contact me and left a message that I never received. I looked passed the lies, since I was only interested in getting my stuff back. The moment that I asked for my items back and expressed that I no longer wantDesired Settlement: I would like to have a full refund and publicized this review.

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted]'s response is simply to cover himself and do not make any sense whatsoever about the dog and me not wanted to pay. As far as the dog, I'm overly vexed each time [redacted] mentioned that the dog is a friendly; which assaults my intelligence a big deal... I'm 40 years old, well educated and I do have a college PHD. I'm also very well able to identify between a friendly dog and one that is in rage. That dog was simply ready to tear me apart that day and [redacted] wanted me to pet the filthy animal, in order to keep it quiet. Needless to say, I went to the shop to get my item checked out, but not to deal with a nasty dog... When it comes to [redacted]'s statement about "I did not want to pay" this is once again a lie. I always pay for every product/services rendered to me. However, I don't pay for anything null that has no written agreements/contracts... For instance, I had no invoice indicated [redacted]'s hourly rate and the reason for the $45.00 charge. Also, there's no where in his shop that mentioned anything about his $85.00 labor rate. This is America, USA and all businesses should be standardized in the level of basic customer service and human relations, in which [redacted]'s shop do not have. That's why I persist that his shop should be closed down and put out of business. I want to make it clear that I'm hear to reinforce my rights as a customer and the basic business principle rules, but not the $45.00. I'm overly blessed as an high end IT architect and my hourly rate is $160.00 per hour. I give to charity a minimum of $50,000 to $60,000 yearly. So, $45.00 is nothing to me and I mean that. So once again, my claim in here is more about RESPECT, since it's priceless to me. I promise that I will follow through and have his shop close down very soon; since I felt disrespected by both red neck [redacted] and his untrained racist dog. P.S. [redacted] has all of my contact info relating to my home address and phone number that I gave him when dropping my items off. He seems to be an outlaw type and his untrained guardian dog makes it clear. This is to say, that I will not tolerate any threats and I will call the law...

Review: My son bought a GoPed Sport Gas Scooter online from [redacted] based out of Minden, Nv. The scooter ran for a little while the day it was received by shipment, then broke and would not run anymore. [redacted] was contacted and my son was directed to take it to the Sacramento Authorized Repair shop, The Electric Bike Shop LLC. The Electric Bike Shop said the scooter needed a new motor, and that the ring around the piston spun and sheared into the piston and scratched it causing a loss of compression. My son picked the scooter up on May 17, 2013 and was charged $75.00 for the repair although the scooter was under warranty for 90 days and in the guarantee it states [redacted] will repair or replace any part or component, other than tires, of the [redacted] transportation product free of charge to the original purchaser who registers his/her product under the warranty program. Warranty service can be obtained by calling your local dealer or the Tech line".

The scooter ran for a few days and broke again. It was taken back to The Electric Bike Shop LLC on May 29, 2013. My son was told the motor was bad and did the same thing as before, and the motor needed to be replaced again. The Electric Bike Shop LLC was called on several occasions from June 2013 to September 2013 to find out the statis of the repair. In September of 2013 I phoned [redacted] and the Electric Bike Shop personally, and within a few days, the scooter was fixed and ready to be picked up. My son and I headed to sacramento to pick up the scooter on September 16th 2013 at 10:00a.m., but [redacted] the owner of the Electric Bike Shop didn't showed up at the shop by 10:45a.m., so we left. On October 7th, 2013 I phoned [redacted] to make sure he was going to be in because my son was on his way to pick up the scooter, and also asked why my son was charged for the first repair, when he told me in a previous conversation that [redacted] gives him credit for the repairs he performs for [redacted]

I would like my son to be reimbursed $75.00 for being charged for the repair, when the scooter was under 90 day warranty when the repairs were made.

The complainant's son called before bringing in the scooter and informed The Electric Bike Shop of the problem. On the initial call he was informed that he would be charged labor due to the fact that [redacted] does not reimburse their service centers for labor. The customer brought in the scooter and left it for a diagnosis. The Electric Bike Shop called him back after the diagnosis and informed him that the motor was defective and that the cost of the diagnosis and the cost to remove and replace the motor would cost $75.00. We had stated that the diagnostic cost $37.50 and that we could coordinate with [redacted] to obtain the motor and he could replace it himself. He informed us to go ahead with the replacement cost as well. We did as requested. The motor was replaced, the customer picked it up but came back several days later complaining of the original problem. We diagnosed the unit. [redacted] sent a defective motor. We then coordinated with [redacted] and replaced the second motor. We diagnosed and replaced the motor at no additional charge. The Electric Bike Shop has no need for credit with [redacted] due to the fact that these new units are illegal for new sale in the State of California as of July 1, 2011.
