Worst serviceThey told me they lost my results then told me they didn't get them in and know all in the same minutes telling me the test was invalid the blood was old! They took the blood how was it old? Story changes with each person you talk toStill waiting for a return call for a refund

Review: I took a mens silk dress shirt to be DRY CLEANED, there was a label on the shirt which also says DRY CLEAN ONLY,when I brought the shirt and 2 sweaters which were also dry cleaned, the shirt was between the sweaters when I picked them up. I did not notice the shirt had rust stains on the cuffs until I went to wear the shirt. I returned the shirt and the owner who apologized. I went back today 5/1/15to pick up my shirt and found it was in worse condition than before! now it has rust stains around the front of the shirt near the button holes! When I spoke to the owner he got very indignant, saying they had been in business for 20 years, had strict professional standards etc. when I asked if he had insurance, he said NO, and asked me to leave his store!Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the shirt which I can no longer wear! a refund of the $21.00 cleaning and compensation for the Joseph Aboud shirt which came from Bergdorf Goodman and a apology from the owner. I believe this should be the least a conciable business owner should do when dealing with the public! otherwise I shall seek legal compensation. [redacted]

Review: I dropped off an item - a leather jacket - to Sun Cleaners on February 21, 2013.

Besides being approximately $890 at the time of purchase (5-6 years ago), the jacket was of great personal significance to me and just needed a simple clean and inside stich repair.

When I dropped off the jacket, a representative from Sun Cleaners around 8:26 AM EST notified me that they would have to send the jacket to an outside vendor for cleaning since leather is not Sun Cleaner's speciality. I asked if I should take it elsewhere, highlighting the personal significance of the jacket and the representative assured me that this was standard procedure and that the cleaner has done longstanding business with this leather cleaning vendor.

After two weeks passed by (the time in which the cleaners told me to allow to elapse), I started inquiring about the pick up of the jacket. "Next week," they'd tell me. Week after week. On April 1, 2013 I went into the cleaner to pick up some of my other belongings that were ready for pick up and again, asked about my jacket.

At this point, I realized they had lost it. A representative from Sun Cleaners started rummaging through the carousel of hung clothes number by number and my jacket was nowhere to be found. They looked up the ticket number (#[redacted]) in their history of shipments and realized they had send it to a vendor that they no longer use -- because this vendor closed down and is no longer in business.

When I asked how they were going to get my jacket back (and/or other items that presumedly belong to other customers), they said that they had actually received almost all the other items for other customers and are missing the jacket.

When I then asked what types of next steps we should take to replace the value of the jacket (not withstanding my time going jacketless nor my time or transportation spent going in and checking to see if the item was ready for pick up), Sun Cleaners said they would continue to try and get in touch with the vendor and that they would call me "tomorrow" (4/2). On 4/2/2013 at 5pm I called Sun Cleaners because I had received no call. They couldn't get in touch with the vendor because the vendor's mailbox is full (because it went out of business!). Sun Cleaners said they would figure out what to do and call me on 4/3/2013. At 5pm on 4/3 I received no phone call so I again, called the dry cleaner. They said they still couldn't get in touch with the vendor. I told them I had thought that would be the case since the vendor shut down and wanted to know about the cleaner's insurance policy and next steps regarding replacing the jacket. At this point, I realized that I was never going to see my item again and just wanted to figure out how to remedy the situation.

I understand that these things unfortunately, happen from time to time. What speaks though about the terrible customer service and character of Sun Cleaners is that they took ZERO responsibility for their actions, and I had been a longstanding, reliable customer who always paid in full, on time since late summer 2012.

On top of this, Sun Cleaner had seemingly teased me along for over a month and a half, saying they were still "trying to get in touch with the vendor" when the vendor had closed down!

When I asked about their insurance policy and next steps, Sun Cleaners basically said they don't have a policy and/or pretended like it didn't apply in this situation since they sent it to another entity and that it was the entity's fault. I believe that it is Sun Cleaners' responsibility to vet their vendors appropriately. I entered direct business with Sun Cleaners and Sun Cleaners only -- not this third party. Thus, it is Sun Cleaners' responsibility to deal with the situation.

Sun Cleaners made no effort to even entertain the conversation of how to replace the jacket or remedy the situation (i.e., refund my credit card for the amount of the jacket and the $69 service charge). Instead they wanted to offer me "future credit" for dry cleaning services, but I never want to go there again since they lost such a valuable and personal item of mine. Why would I ever entrust them with my other belongings? Especially if this is the way they conduct business.Desired Settlement: I believe I am well entitled to at least the monetary value of the jacket, $890.

This item served of other additional personal value to me that I cannot quantify so I believe this is a modest ask.

If this desired outcome cannot be produced, I ask that all charges made to Sun Cleaners under my account be reversed for the value of the jacket $890.

Review: My husband and I have had our dry cleaning done at Sun Cleaners for several years. Three times I have dropped off women's dresses there and received them back uncleaned. They had clearly been steamed but uncleaned, salt stains from sweat remaining. Last time I dropped my clothes off I received them back uncleaned and finally made a complaint. I called back repeatedly in the hopes that they would at least refund the money for the 2 items that were unclean and they refused to ever call me back. They told me every time that the manager was not in and would call me back as soon as he or she was in. That never happened. I called maybe 5-7 times in order to resolve this but they clearly refuse to do that.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my dress and shirt being "dry cleaned".
