Purchased travel insurance for a ***. *** is refunding my money due to COVID-19. They have informed me that the travel insurance company (Specialty Insurance Solutions) will not be refunding the amount I paid for the insurance. If the tour is able to be cancelled due to overwhelming heath concerns, then the insurance company should refund too.

Solutions, Inc. (“SIS”) is in receipt of your May 6, 2020 correspondence to our office (Specialty Insurance Solutions, Inc.). For clarification, there are several entities referenced in this letter
and the following describes each: - *** is the Travel supplier that has developed the ***
travel program which includes the ability for a traveler to purchase a
travel protection plan; and - Specialty Insurance Solutions, Inc. (SIS) is the licensed producer for the Travel
Protection Plan that includes short-term travel insurance benefits
underwritten by ***; and - *** is the insurer for the insured portion of the Travel Plan; and - *** is the claim administrator for the plan and is responsible for making
benefit determinations on behalf of *** for the insured portion of the
Travel Plan based upon the benefits, limitations and exclusions outlined
in the attached certificates. We appreciate the
opportunity to provide the details about this inquiry and hopefully address
your concerns. Records provided by *** indicate that they do not show *** as having booked a *** with their office. We also checked our records for any enrollment in the insurance plan as well as inquired to *** and they too do not have any record of this individual or of a claim being filed.

If the complainant booked the tour under a different name or has any other questions we would be happy to assist and she may reach us direct at ***.

Specialty Insurance Solutions, Inc. (“SIS”) is in receipt of your May 11, 2020 correspondence to Specialty
Insurance Solutions, Inc. (SIS). For clarification, there are several entities referenced in this letter and the
following describes each:
• *** is the Travel supplier that has developed the *** travel program which
includes the ability for a traveler to purchase a travel protection plan; and
• Specialty Insurance Solutions, Inc. (SIS) is the licensed producer for the Travel Protection Plan that
includes short-term travel insurance benefits underwritten by ***; and
• *** is the insurer for the insured portion of the Travel Plan; and
• *** is the claim administrator for the plan and is responsible for making benefit
determinations on behalf of *** for the insured portion of the Travel Plan based upon the benefits,
limitations and exclusions outlined in the attached certificates.

Records provided by *** show the following:
*** and his travel companion booked a tour through *** for travel dates of August 4, 2020
through August 17, 2020. As part of the trip, the Consumers purchased a travel protection plan and the
Consumers also agreed to certain booking terms and conditions with *** on the purchase date. These
booking terms and conditions are separate and not part of the *** travel insurance benefits portion of the
travel protection plan.
According to information provided by ***, Mr. nor his travel companion have cancelled their trip
as of this date.
In addition, as of this date, neither we, nor *** have any record of a claim being submitted for
consideration.
For a claim to be considered, the trip must first be cancelled through *** and they will advise the travelers of
their booking conditions and what amounts may or may not be refunded. We encourage the Consumers to then
to review the policy terms and conditions shown on the link below and file a claim if they believe the
cancellation could be covered under the plan. *** will make a benefit determination in accordance
with the Travel Plan terms, conditions and limitations. Details regarding the Travel Plan and claim filing
information can be found at this link - ***.
Upon receipt of a claim submission and once a benefit determination is rendered by ***, we would
be happy to respond to questions, if any, the Consumers may wish to discuss. They may reach us direct at ***.
